Alright heres the deal...im tryin to get the turbo manifold, turbo, and o2 housing off all in one piece and runnin into some issues...all lines are off and all bolts are out, that we know of. does anyone know if the coolant hose running behind the turbo is on some sort of bracket that is hangin up? we can get the manifold past the studs but it feels like there is something pulling on the bottom, and yes the bolt is out of the bottom of the turbo going to the plate above the motor mount. Any ideas???? im effin stumped

Remove the lower motor mount bolts that are in the wheel well and jack up the motor a little see if that helps. When I doing motor mounts in my car I found getting the header out to be a bitch but it was a little easier to remove off the studs as I jacked up the motor. Also big *** pry bar maybe lol.

well theres plenty of room thats not the issue i just have a feeling that the coolant return line on the turbo has some sort of bracket thats hangin up on it...but if all else fails i might try that...not sure how much more room thatl give me tho

no one on here has any access to diagrams or anything that would be of help? id like to have the car put back together soon

The coolant pipe that runs under the exhaust manifold has a small bracket that connects it to a lower exhaust manifold stud. If you remove the nut & remove the coolant pipe off the stud the coolant pipe bracket will still get in the way of removing the exhaust manifold. You have to remove the rubber coolant hose that goes to the firewall from the coolant pipe. With the rubber hose removed the coolant pipe will be able to drop down a little more allowing more room for the exhaust manifold to slide off easier. Also the dipstick pipe gets in the way of the manifold from coming off easy. Try to disconnect the dipstick pipe & move it out of the way a little also.

The upper turbo oil inlet pipe is rigid & should be removed from the engine for the turbo come out easier. I disconnected the lower oil outlet tube from the engine pan & carefully removed the turbo with the lower oil outlet pipe connected to it.

The lower coolant outlet pipe is rigid. It did not get in the way when i lifted the turbo out by itself but since you have the manifold, turbo, & turbo outlet pipe connected together it might be in the way a little. If so just disconnect it from the engine.

Unbolt the turbocharger bracket from the engine & turbo.

ill give it a shot unfortunatly ive had to work all weekend and help a buddy put injectors in his maxima so that took up the majority of my time. The last time i tried pulling it out it still seems as though the upper coolant line on the turbo is still connected somehow the bolt that holds part of the line to the turbo is off as well as the bracket on the manifold...im at a loss lol it might just come down to unbolting the turbo from the manifold after all. I just thought it might just be easier to do it all in one piece. Thanks again John
