longshot here, but I removed my old top and getting ready to put on new. The new top doesnt have any rivets with it, does anyone know what sizes I need?, also It doesnt have holes punched, whats the best thing to make them with?

I don't rivet the top to the rail rain when installing.

alright, what about the ones for the cables that run through the top?

As for those rivets, i use 1/8". The top i bought specifically said not to rivet it to the rail, just bolt it. As for not having any holes. That doesn't sound right because the holes should be punched and reinforced. You need to contact the company you bought it from if there are no holes and find out what to do.

I bought a robbins no zip top. I stupidly bought it without the rainrail (I didn't read into what it was) and it said to rivet the top to the rainrail. I have a few extra rivets I could measure if you need. The rainrail used some funky ones that I had to hammer together.

I'm on the fence about the top, 6 months later and I still need two people to close it. I followed the instructions EXACTLY and used all the pre-made holes. The quality is awsome, I'm just not sure the holes were right or something. I hope yours goes alot better than mine!

I think Ill just go w/o rivits on the rainrail, all I need to know is the size for the cable

thats what I did, its so much easier to install the rainrail without any fasteners at all.

i know this shit is dead but im curious to know. if not using rivots on the rain rail will water get in the car since the rivots holes are exposed? im thinking aobut not using rivots and jsut putting some tape on both sides of the holes where the rivots were.
