Track crew-oil pressure gauges-What are you guys using and why?

With a new motor in the near future I'm looking into a real oil pressure gauge. My 90 has the "real" gauge, but i want something more accurate.

What are you guys using, how does it compare to the stock one?

Whats the thread pitch on the side of the block, so i can get the right fittings for an oil pressure sender.

How/where does everyone have them mounted on the motor and in the car?

I am NOT taking anymore vents out, already lost one and it sucks. I have a duel A-piller but so that's out. And i dont want it below my stereo, because ill never see it.

With a little Dremel action you can replace the stock OP gauge with an Autometer or VDO.

Stock threads are 1/8 BSP (not NPT); most aftermarket gauge senders will be 1/8 NPT.

Best would be a mechanical gauge, because they react the quickest to any change in oil pressure. Downside is that you have to run an oil line into the car.

Running an oil line into the car is not an option. I do not want hot pressurized oil in my cabin one bit.

What are the other options?

they make fluid isolators so you simply have water in your cabin. Im pretty sure its the only way to be legal on the track. Look into it.

Ended up going with:

ATM-2269
Auto Meter 2269 - Auto Meter Metric Adapters
and
ATM-3327
Auto Meter 3327 - Auto Meter Sport-Comp Analog Gauges

So the oil pressure sender+gauge showed up today. This thing weighs a significantly amount more than the oem one. Ive got the 1/8th bsp to 1/8th npt fitting so the sender will be sitting even further away from the block.

Is this going to put too much stress on the threads in the block? Should i be worried? I do not want any issues with this.

Edit: I was also just thinking, maybe i should get some kind of T fitting to run the oem unit + my autometer one. Thoughts?
