Default S2000 cluster swap

I finally got my S2000 cluster working. This is a kitcar, but it uses all miata wiring / drivetrain etc. MS3 controls the oil pressure warning light (currently set at 20psi iirc)

Any details on how you got it to work with the miata wiring?

What is needed to replicate this?

This is pretty cool. What I want though, is for the stock '99 Miata gauges to work with a F20c! What would it take to do that?

with the F20C transmission? The '99 cluster expects a 4800 ppm sine wave. Don't know where the S2000 cluster gets its signal from (the ecu or the transmission), but the cluster expects a 156000 ppm 5V square wave. I doubt the transmission puts that out (it'll be the ecu probably). Easy enough to measure if you have an oscilloscope .

If you had a dakota digital convertor box, you should be able to adjust it where ever its needed.

Actually the Speedohealer V4 is the only one that has enough range to muliply by 32. The dakota can do x4 maximum iirc.

Just wanted to add - for completeness - that the stock cluster is not 4800ppm but 4000ppm (pulses per mile). FWIW.
