Default What's worth the time to remove from wreck?

I have a friend with a 96 red with black interior car. Pretty base model. It was hit in the passenger right front. It only has 49K miles! What's worth robbing off it before scrapping the thing?

It is really low miles and was owned by a senior wine and cheeser. I just don't know what parts should be worth for an easy sale, what's easy to remove, what to offer for it and if it's worth all the time I'd have to spend taking crap apart.

Any input or links to get some idea of whether I should bother with this?

The front passenger suspension is toast. The passenger quarter panel, passenger door, windshield, bumper, headlamp are all damaged.

Get the other fender. They sell quickly. Hood if perfect. Driver's side power window regulator if they have them. Forget the passenger. Driver's side go out all the time from extra use. All of the brakes and brackets for someone to do a big brake upgrade. Guage cluster hood. Super easy to remove and sell for good $. Same with radio bezel. There's lots more, depending on how much you get stuff for and what he is willing to let you take. Obviously engine/trans/rear are worth $ but the things above are easy to get.

Dude I just parted a 96, take everything that is still in decent condition...EVERYTHING
I stripped the entire car (minus engine/trans/doors/dash) in about 10hrs worth of work and unable to use power tools due to noise...

Then start a partout thread. You can either let people just make you offers, or put some prices... IMO lower price is what makes things sell quick...

I literally sold everything off the car except the seatbelt towers...You'd be surprised things that people need/want...

As far as key items there are many...
Brake brackets/calipers ($100+)
Diff swap (even an open fetches $300+)
Trans/eng
Gauge hood
radio bezel
center console
seats
windshield cowl
cas
injectors

**** i can go on all night....the above should bring you more than $1000

Seriously I wish I could find another car to part...the one I just did was my first, and I will always be looking for cars like this...

DO IT, OR YOU WILL REGRET IT.... If you were close by I'd take the car and break you off some $$...

It's different. Instead of red, it's black. Looks a lot nicer.

Yeah, I've done three this year. I can do it pretty quickly now. One of these days I need to actually put something together. The black 99 needs the motor from the silver one put in. I had just rolled it into the shop the other day when the 91 came along, so out it went again. Motor from the silver one is on the hoist now.
