speaker wiring garbage in my 1995
I tried to install a headunit yesterday, and it went to ****. The front channel from the headunit is powering the headrest speakers according to the scosche pnp harness. So I tested for cotinuity to the front channels, and their dead...but all the wiring is in-tact. Where are the cross-overs in the doors?
Are there more than 2 headrest speakers in the seats....I feels like there's another, half dead, speaker lower in the seat.

the lower speaker in the seat is just a bass shaker...i guess you have the MMR stereo? Never saw any crossovers in the door, never took the time to follow the wiring either.
you're lucky, my car came without any factory wiring for speakers.

No. It's quite common, both in the OEM and aftermarket communities, to deal with tweeters simply by placing a non polarized electrolytic capacitor in series with them. It acts as a high-pass filter, albeit one with a poor roll-off curve.
Insofar as I can tell from the wiring diagrams, the premium sound system in '95 had both the tweeter and main speaker for each door wired in parallel, run directly to the amp.

I found this site again a few months back.... Lots of useable info:

I had a MSSS(2) in my car stock (one with the bass shakers in the seats), and it had a factory amp up under the driver's side dash. The black plug on the stock deck, was going to the amp as a pre-amp output. So I used that to supply pre-amp power to my amp. (RCA conversion), then the amp was used to feed new signal wire back to the doors. The original factory wiring, was from the amp to the doors, where it split for the doors/tweeters.
The original MSSS (93LE/94 style) had no amp under the dash.
