your flasher relay may be dead. also, you may have corrosion on the bulb socket.

yeah. do you hear the "click click" noise? My realy went bad and I did not hear the click. Got one at a junkyard and fixed it

take the relay out and re solder the connections... i had the same problem.

turbobluemiata 08-21-2006 04:21 PM

nicacus 08-21-2006 04:27 PM

Mine went bad earlier this year. I was quickly evident that one of the solder joints had gone bad. Quick fix.

turbobluemiata 08-23-2006 04:27 PM

I am not a good solderer and I think im just gonna have to find another one but thanks for the help and if anyone has an extra one or something pm me

nicacus 08-23-2006 04:28 PM

all you need to do is heat up the joints.. hell I did it with a torch and a hot screwdriver.. because someone lost my soldering iron

bripab007 08-23-2006 05:32 PM

Dude, a soldering iron is $10, probably the same as a blinker from the junkyard (which would also have a good chance of failing). Then you'd have a soldering iron for the next time you need it.

If you're going to bother pulling the thing out to replace it, you might as well spend the extra 12 seconds popping it open and tapping the solder joint together again.

Okay i took it out last night and looked at it and didnt see anywhere that it looked like a bad solder or anything how do you know where to solder?

bripab007 08-24-2006 04:08 PM

On mine, it was a little hairline crack on one of them. You could just heat up the solder that exists on both of them so that it pools nicely again.

nicacus 08-24-2006 04:47 PM

mine looked fine too, looked kinda black so i just re did the two joints and to my suprise it worked

rappadan 08-28-2006 02:06 AM

hmm, might have to try this fix...
