Usa spec and Canadian spec differences
As the title states I am trying to find out the differences between the two. I did some work on a friends car and he gave me a miata that is from Canada. I don't know the exact details of the car yet but know it is a NA. I think he told me it was a 1.6 engine.
The car is in storage and have not had a chance to go and get it yet. I may just flip the car and take the proceeds. Hell I may even keep it and build it insted of my 2001. So if you know of any differences in them let me know. Have a great day, Jared |
What differences are you looking for?

I know that you have day time running lights. I was hoping that there was none, but I am sure there is some. Emissions, tuning, weight, parts stuf like that.

The windshield washer bottle is larger on the Canadian cars.
The early Canadian cars didn't have a drivers' airbag. Not sure when they started. Can't think of any mechanical differences. |

For the day time lights im sure theres a wire for the DRL's if you look on mitchell wiring diagrams and just cut it? Emissions pretty much the same i really cant think of anything different as joe said the airbag and such, my 90 did not have an airbag. Heres a pic

I'll take that wheel please.

Canadian cars that didnt have an airbag had column switches that came straight out instead of up and out. Great upgrade to have them with aftermarket steering wheels in our cars.
