Uses for Uego on an N/A Miata

I'll be going turbo in a couple months. I'll also be going MS a bit before that.

If I replace the O2 w/ the UEGO Bosch sensor, it won't be able to give me AFR since it's narrowband now, right? Also, I'd prefer not to weld on another bung.

Basically, what can I do w/ this Uego while I'm NA w/ out welding on another bung? I'm guessing pretty much nothing.

Thanks.

No point in running it NA untill you install the MS.
Unless you weld in an extra bung. If you do install it in the stock location i recommend a heatsink so you don't overheat the sensor.

small question before I leave you to plug eachother, is this bung far enough from the head to use the LC-1?

yes

Oscar, at least 36" is recomended, so that looks fine...

Kenzo, just instal WB at the same time you instal MS

Oscar 02-25-2008 06:45 PM

I knew about the 36", but thought that's only for turbos, this is going to be unnaturally aspirated with MS and and LC-1 (for the time being), so I thought it might even be too far away for a non-turbo car. But indeed it seems fine.

I need to think more in inches and feet, as that's commonly used here :)
it doesn't seem like 36" tho (about 90cm)

Zabac 02-25-2008 06:46 PM

90cm is 35.4" lol

Oscar 02-25-2008 06:52 PM

hence the 'about' ;)

I'm running my LC1 in stock location with stock exhaust manifold without heatsink..

:dunno: No problem YET..
