VVT Engine Thrust Washer Source
Needed some oem thrust washers for a vvt block (the larger varients) instead of paying 110$ quoted from my local dealer, 60$ for oem off ebay, or 40$ from some other sources, i found a single website selling oem part number washers for 20$ a set. This is good, but shipping was 20$ so still 40$, and longer wait.
well they also had another brand of thrust washer listed with the same part number but for 2$ a set, something told me it was the same as oem, shipping was still $20 but i purchased 2 sets for 24$ shipped. This could be bought in bulk for people who build vvt engines often. They arrived today. purchased 12/22/25 shipped 12/24/25 arrived 12/30/25 note they came from dubai, and went through multiple customs stops from fedex, one in france, and one in Tennessee, where it had a customs clearance notification (more info needed regarding paperwork) but got released same day. I didnt take care of anything, so im guessing they did on their end. the website was called partsouq, popped up when i searched the oem vvt pn. https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...0e0227a24.jpeg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...8143f71a5.jpeg https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...28a8a1ce8.jpeg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...503552dd0.jpeg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...9bfd5b481.jpeg checked crank thrust measurement and it was at the low end of the spec installed. Hopefully this helps someone save some money, the little things add up! |
Yeah Partsouq is the jam for OEM stuff. And the aftermarket interchange hasn’t failed me yet, knock on wood.
The shipping cost/speed ratio has consistently blown my mind. The also have the full global catalog of stuff, handy for getting stuff that wasn’t offered on USDM cars. And yes, Taiho is a huge manufacturer that makes many Japanese brands’ factory-fitted oem bearings. |
