Water temperature sensor.
 

hello all,

how to wire a 05 water temp sensor onto a 1990?

2005 plug for temp sensor not sure which wire goes to the ecu. I am assuming it is an all in one connector not like the 1990 that has sensor for the ecu and another for the cluster.

1990 harness, not a 100% sure where the wires go. I have narrowed down the ECU wires.

On the NB stuff its a ground and 2 signal wires as the sensor has dual elements. One goes to ECU and one goes to gauge cluster...

Doubt it matters which goes to which as I believe they are both 5v reference.

Nope, they’re a resistance sensor. I guess maybe they’re a 5v pullup?

anyways, ecu temp is red/blk and red/blue. The red/black is sensor gnd at ECU, violet/white is cluster signal.
