Attachment 184192 Attachment 184193 Attachment 184194 The bottle is what the oil looks like, i would have thought the coolant and oil would be separated if that were the case? |

It was originally a water bottle, i blew out the remaining water drops the best i could though prior to putting the oil from my oil pan in it. It does however look much darker now than when i drained it the other day.
Also to follow up on a previous post i just got done checking the turbo and there are no cracks in the housing at all. Could it be possible that somehow alot of combustion gases/ air got into the oil causing it to do this? |
So I did a small test on the oil that I have in the pan. I put a piece of metal on the stove and heated it to the point that if I dropped coolant onto it it would bubble. I then took some oil from the pan and dropped some in the dish and that also showed signs of bubbling which leads to believe that somehow coolant definitely got into the oil
I just don't know how. Can anyone look at my head gasket pictures and see anything wrong with the way it looks? |

https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...1&d=1429104096 I mean, it's water. It's existed since the dawn of time and probably spent the last million years trickling through a rock miles below the surface of the earth, but now it's going to expire in a week and a half because we put it into a bottle? Never made sense to me. [/hijack] |

I do agree with you, however i did just remember what might be the missing piece of the puzzle. This was flavored water, still seems odd that water would have expiration date but maybe the sugar or whatever does? beats the hell out of me haha:rofl: |
