Default Replaced Slave Cylinder, now will not shift when cold

All of the sudden while driving the car would not shift into gears, and the clutch started to feel soft (ACT X-Treme). Had to pump the clutch to get the car home. I already replaced the master and slave 2 years ago, so felt this problem before. I replaced the slave (had a small amount of fuild leaking) with an OEM, and now the car will not shift into gear when it is cold. Once the car is warm it shifts fine. Took the car to a shop, and they said it sounds like the synchros went out... What is really wrong?
