Weird LC-1 read out?

I had installed the LC-1 today, but the read out i had with the NB gauge was 2 red all the time, if I press on the gas hard to about 4000rpm free rev, it will turn into 2 green.

The same showing from Logwork2 realtime gauge on the laptop 5.4%O2 steady.

Where have I gone wrong? :vash:

ECU 12V feed
Heater ground on one wire to the metal bracket top of cylinder4
System ground on on the same metal bracket top of cylinder4
Analog ground tap to heater ground wire
Yellow wire analog out 1 feeding to NB gauge
NB gauge 12V from ECU and Ground to ECU

HELP!:bowrofl:

where is the part of the post where you tell us how its improperly configured? Its right before we tell you to make a few adjustments.

Uh oh..! so Default setting is not going to work?

How about this for a start?
1.002 volt at AFR 8.00
0.010 volt at AFR 17.98

I seem to have the most problems with the LC-1, so I'll try and help.

You have to configure the LC-1 output to the NB gauge. If you just wire it in it won't work. The voltage scale isn't right.

Those settings are what I got for the autometer NB gauge off the LC-1 website. Those should be correct as long as it is an autometer.

When you first open the LC-1 program on the bottom right is a pull down menu, make sure you set that to gasoline. It seems every time I turn around it resets back to custom, it pisses me off so much. Once you set it to gasoline you can input those settings.

Make sure your using the right output. The first time I put it in I was setting up output#2 when the gauge was actually on output#1.

Also, DO NOT loop the lines. It won't hurt it, but that's not what your supposed to do. In the box should be the terminator plug and the serial cable. Plug the terminator plug into the "IN" cable and the serial cable in the "OUT" cable. Then when your done tuning leave them in, just tuck them away. Those plugs need to be there or it won't work.

If those don't help use their forum. Most problems with the LC-1 are the same common ones and are covered there.

Hopefully this helps. I'm not 100% happy with my LC-1. It works perfect most times, but for some unknown reason it loves resetting back to custom and throwing everything off.

^ all of that + put all ground on the same lug + megasquirt ground.

Thanks Mazdaspeed1.6 and sam01.

I went down to put those value suggested. I have an Autometer NB gauge also. With those values, when its warmed up, the NB gauge isn't showing anything at all.

So i go into logwork2 viewer... idle is showing around 6.5AFR, and when I hold a steady gas around 3000rpm... it goes to 16-17AFR.

Does the NB gauge needs the same ground to the lug with all the LC-1 ground?
