Default Weird wobble under open throttle

So I have had my miata for 2 months now. its been nothing but problems since, and its in flawless looking condition and it is realy clean. I quickly found out they are really unreliable but everyone says the opposite. This new problem maybe the worst.

So one night i punched it on the freeway and hit 130mph. the next morning driving it I can feel this wobble only when I acelerate and a loss of power. i thought i heard it backfiring too. but when i rev it, it feels fine. so i really think it maybe my driveshaft is unbalanced and is hitting the underboddy or somthing near it.

has anyone experienced anything like this?

if the driveshaft was hitting something, you would know it. It may be out of balance, it may be loose and wobbling around. Some more details of the car may help.

yeah i will get underneath there and try and tighten up the bolts. I did do the timing belt. one bolt broke when i was screwing in the crank pully so it only has 3 bolts holding that. but it doesnt explain the ticking/banging in the rear The car has also been jumped like twice before. if that can do anything.

I was wondering WTF? There one sec and gone the next. I know its early here, but I saw what I saw. Anytime you Duke boy your car, don't EVER complain about its reliability. Cars don't have a conscience, and they are not wholistic. Care and maintenance does wonders for the reliability department.

You sir have no idea what you are talking about. Driveshaft is not going to cause a loss of power, wobble, or backfire. Especially not just under acceleration. The reason people tell you these cars are reliable is because they are. But that doesn't mean that every one out there is awesome and just because it's clean the car isn't a pile of garbage.

I suggest you trade it in on a new FWD vehicle that doesn't use a drive shaft.

I'm going to guess when you jumped it that you fucked up the wheel bearings. I've jumped several cars and usually gotten away with it but they are first in the line of fire and what I was going to guess was wrong before I even read your description.

That is if you aren't trying to describe a misfire or something.

Your sending this poor kid down a road to hell with that. If he can't figure out this go-kart based Miata, he's destined to fail 10 fold with a Vdub.

On a good note, he could then make his hood rusty..... Try that with an OEM Miata hood!

Jumped it like Bo Duke or jumped it as opposed to push starting it? Big difference.

Did you think that redlining your car in top gear was going to make it, or any car, run better?

Does anyone else think the noise might be a 1.6 rear diff failure beginning? I'm really not sure how that could happen with the way the OP is babying the car so nicely.

A lot of upset people here? I'm actually posting here for a friend. but i will be getting a 1.6 miata lol. yeah i realized the car is totally being abused by a 16y/o that doesnt even have his licends. he says he burnout everytime he takes it out. So i think I'm going to quit helping him because he cant help himself. its worth the try

it might be the diff going out, mine had nice clonking noises when it wiped out the spider gears. But again, with it being babied as much as it is, I dont know why it would go out?

what is it that goes out? the differential looks like its got a lot of meat on it but improper shimming would do it. so what were your symptoms? like hesitation or little jerks? was it from burning out at all? And thanks a lot for your advice. unlike a lot of other people.

You blew your ******* driveshaft rings.

Just drain the oil and torque up the pinion solenoid

Also, your engine is going to be destroyed in short order anyways. Those possible backfires (wtf? When I backfire ther is no question about it) are due to your missing crank pulley bolt be0ause your engine is pulling timing since your transmission is overheating.

Seriously, unfuck thatpully ****.
