Wasn't the GTX a 1.6?

Try 1.8 Protégé.

If you want the exposed gears, you could just cut you cover. Unless you just like the look of the protege covers. Pic of mine for example, just used a drill in a few spots and then a hand saw, some files and a belt sander and i think mine looks good. IMO

I've got a 1.8 Protégé valve cover on a shelf in the garage. Not looking to part with it in case I ever use my adjustable cam gears which are in the tool box. I just realized I've got more parts than I need just laying around. Lol.

No I'm after the look really. I am very confident in cutting the OEM cover and will if I don't come across a protege cover. Still then if I do end up cutting it I'll still be looking for a protege cover honestly. But your does look good.

I felt like I could hardly sell the Protege cover I had. Maybe I'll get the next one I find at the junkyard...

Which I suppose would be from a Capri, or maybe MX3? I've come across a couple Capri and only one 1.6 MX3 that I'm aware of in the past few years.
