Default Project Complete!

For the time being....

I finally finish my 3 month transformation from NA TO SC. My car was not stock to start off. My car was a very competitive CSP autocross car that also played dual duties as track bitch. It will now be running SM2 and hopefully my left arm will get some rest at the track.

Here's the specs....

1992 A package (Sunburst)
2000 Engine
4.10 Torsen
FFS Base kit modified to meet my needs.
Godspeed Radiator
FC RX7 Oil cooler
AEM WI
MSPNP
2040lbs before SC install. I haven't gotten it back on scales after.
218HP/165TQ

Here are some of the final engine bay shots....

Here are couple shots of the car....Yes I know the CSP decals have to go

Nice. So tell us what made you do it.
I autoXed in CS with a 91 Miata for three years (wayyy back)- started doing track events the last year. But it often killed me to have to keep my car stock (shocks and exhaust only). Of course the track events led to road racing in SSC, which meant I had to run stock shocks and a full stock exhaust.

I run one of the local autocross clubs and my cars spends 90% of it's time on the autocross course. I also do 6-8 track events each year, that really pushed the desire for FI. My car held its own everywhere but the straights.

I wanted a FI setup that would meet my needs and after driving numerous FI'd Miata, I decided on a SC because it will work best for autocross.

I enjoy track days tremendously, but don't have any desire to go beyond DEs and instructing. I started racing motorcycles when I was 8 and then moved onto quads in the mid 90s. I race at both a local and national level for years. I have had my fair share of racing. I have the plaques, trophies, and magazine shots to show the kids in the future. Yes, I loved it, but I have spent entirely too much money and spent entirely too much time in the hospital. Playing on the track with friends is great. I don't want to start trading paint.

Mazda/Nissan,
I don't know if the header was ever wrapped. I bought it used. I thought about having it Jet Coated, but never got around to it.

looks great, I love sunburst yellow miata's. How much meat are you running under those flares and what are the specs on the track wheels? I have a fellow scca member running the same wheels (forgot what they were called) in 13's for csp.

Looking through some old pictures and came across these. This is the day that I brought The Bee home. Before it earned it's stripes.

Day 1

I posted a thread on m.net in the NA section with before and after pics. Let's see how many purists badmouth me.
