Default Anybody in Atlanta with a spare 1.8L valve cover?

I'm going to powdercoat mine but I don't want to have to rush it. Anybody have a spare from a parts car/motor I could borrow for a week or so? I could powdercoat it too before I gave it back as payment.

Thanks
Brian

I've got one you can borrow. Already coated, but you can use it for a week or two.

Ugh, now I have to clean my garage up and decide what color(s) I want to do. What part of town are you in? I'm in Fairburn.

Really far away from fairburn. Hamilton Mill. You might could meet me for lunch one day in Atlanta (chamblee--P'tree Ind/Clarimont Rd area).

Do you do the 'coating yourself? I might have something to do. Also I have a friend who wants to get an 01 cover coated. I should have one of those too in my garage.

Yeah, I'd be doing it myself. I'm thinking of doing mirror black with mirror red lettering. What do you have that you'd want done? Do you have AIM?

no, I don't do messengers except windows messenger which I have to use at work.

I don't have any parts to be 'coated right now, but probably will want some things done before I get my new engine together. That stuff is all in bags in boxes right now, and I don't feel like dealing with it for a while.

Cool. I did my oil pan, accessory brackets and valve cover on my truck. Stuff that has/had oil in it sucks. If you don't clean them out 100% they smoke like a bastard

I'm more than 1 hr away because of traffic. Remember they'll have half of the connector shut down all weekend due to the resurfacing project. Yes, I work in Chamblee, usually take lunch around noon give or take.

Ben, how long are you going to not need that spare? Since he's so local to me, I might sneak mine in too.

quadmasta, I'm in Palmetto. How much would you want for a coating job? Just want it in red. Would like to have the letters in black, but it's not completely necessary.

yeah no problem. It's my "spare" cover with the cam gears cut off that I got just for dyno tuning.

Let me do mine first and see how much trouble it's going to be first, then I'll quote you. Is yours painted or just bare metal?

Ben - Thanks! I'm trying to decide if I want to expose the gears or not. I think I may leave the cover as is though.

quadmasta - Just let me know. Mine is currently painted. However, while I have it off to do the timing belt, I may give it a shot myself, which would also negate needing a spare, and having to go through another gasket.
Also, what does your Miata look like? I'm frequently in Fairburn in the evenings as I love to eat at Oz Pizza.

http://roseyspowdercoating.biz/osCommerce/catalog/

If they've got it, I can order it and do it in that color.

Cool, they have a couple different blues. Let's do this. I'll have Mike pick his color.

cheap
good

Keep that in mind

Hey, if you're just testing out stuff.... i'm not too concerned with quality, besides, i'm not "mr. show car". I went through that website's color and tried to find something that you would be able to use the left-overs and i decided on Gun Metal Blue Metallic Powder Coating

There are simply too many colors though.... i live most of the blues, the lava black, some of the mirror-transparant colors...
