Default Car wont run with out jumping GRD & F/P

All i can say is this has been a very exciting week and then frustrating.
I Got the newly built motor in and connected and as i tried to crank it and no fuel. spark is there but no fuel. I checked and replaced the main relay the one that says "fuel Inj" and the fuel pump relay under the dash and still nothing!

The rx7 Turbo II fuel pump i had in there went bad after all this trying too.
and its weird because in the beginning the fuel pump would come on everytime i tried cranking but no fuel?? then after all day trying, the fuel pump stops working and i tried jumping through the GRN & F/P but no sounds so i assumed the FP went out and stuck the stock one back in, i jumped it and it would turn on but would only turn on though the diagnostics box..

You can say i cheated my way into starting the new engine by jumping the GRN and F/P in the terminals so i could at least hear it, started up fine. cant drive it or even push the throttle down much since it almost stalls everytime i try.

Ive read a few threads all over the place but none find the problem or the threads just die!

Please help! the cars just been sitting! i want to drive it so bad and get everything broken in already!

What year is your car?
if its an NA6. are you still using the AFM
are you already running the MSPNP?

The reason I ask is it maybe that the AFM went bad is no longer sending a signal to the fuel pump. Easy way to test is to turn the key to ON and then flip the flapper door of the AFM and you should hear your fuel pump turn on(also your return fuel line will pressure up also). If it doesn't then your relay is bad or your AFM is bad.

yes sir i did,

I've had the MSpnp installed for a few months now with my last turbo set up, everything ran fine. its after i pulled the motor and reinstall that something went bad.

i remember when i pulled the motor i accidentally forgot the unplug the battery and the positive wire from the starter touched a ground and sparked. THIS is what im thinking blew something.

no only that but my 2554 has accumulated oil on the cold side in the mouth WTFFFFFFFF oil drain and feed is perfect!

UPDATE again..

i plugged in the stock ECU and AFM, ghetto rigged the AFM to stay open (because i wire tucked the harness so its not as long anymore)to try and get the car to try and turn on and it worked for a bit well i didnt have to keep the jumper in the diagnostics box and the fuel pump came on.
car would try and stay on but yeah, i think i fried my MSPNP, any idea how to check this for sure?

before the ecu change i plugged in the MS to the laptop and everything came on fine?
the car would really try to come on

If it were me, id just leave it jumped and call it a day. this is what all us diy MS users do.

WTF..really?? i never had to do this though before. and with the megasquirt in it doesnt read any RPM on the cluster.

iirc i read somewhere that if MS doesnt get any RPM reading it doesnt run. i dont wanna use a bandaid by running the wire in there, thats not what i paid for. its really weird though .

i'll call autotune and see what i can do.

any more imput is very welcome!

i,ll just run the stock ecu and injectors and break the motor in with that set up then by the time its broken in i should have IF I NEED IT the new MS here for tuning

Cause that's why you have no tach. put a 1K resistor between IG- and B+ in your box.

But, it sounds like you fried the fuel pump on circuit in your ms.

Take out the MSPNP and take off the case. Check all the connections inside. I had something identical. The ribbon connector that goes across the top board had come a tiny bit loose.

well it would be weird that it just so happend after i put the new engine in dont ya think?
but then again stuff like this happens right away and not over time.

I can try it tomorrow just to make sure before i send it in, i,ll take it apart and check the board and connectors.

thanks for the tip
