Whats the recommended clutch disc material?
looking at the discs on clutchnet, and trying to figure out whats the best disc material for me.
organic, fiber carbon or kevlar? whats the general consensus? |
What kind of hp are you planning to make. If you get something that has a stronger pp like the act hd then you can use an organic disc. If you get something with a stock like pp like the cheap f1 stg 3 from gripforce clutches on ebay then it needs to have a 6 puck to have the same holding power.

organic. there's no real benefit to the other materials for a street car.

if its not a daily, the consider a metal disc. My car is a motherfucker to drive in traffic, but I can abuse it and not sweat any drama. Oh, and get headroom in terms of power. I have a spec s3 right now, and it works well for what I do with it.

ultimately shooting for 200+ rwhp, but for starters ill only be at 5 - 6psi. it is a street driven car, and i dont mind a heavy pedal..
I was planning on ordering the organic "yellow" disc and the "red" pp... sound good? |
