Wheel Offset + driveability?

So I'm looking at some new Konig Retrack 15x7.5 wheels with a 32mm offset:

I just like the style of them and the price is not bad. Now I was browsing all the usual miata vendors for other wheel ideas, and then I came across Good Win Racing (where I ordered my harddog bar). They have a little write up that says 30mm is race car only, and that 35mm is sort of a compromise. Am I missing something? Could someone explain why they would suggest this?

For my purposes, I'm not going too radical - either a 205/50/15 or 225/45/15 tire. They do make the same version of rim in 15x7 and 40mm offset, but the lip is smaller and I love lip :p If the car is suddenly going to become undriveable (which I doubt), then I'll get the 15x7's.

Thanks folks :)

32mm isn't a horrible offset by any sorts of the means...

Weight could be an issue; offset should be fine.

BTW, I like those wheels!

That's what I thought. People are driving around on 0 offset, and here goodwin is saying 30 is like some extreme measure. Anyways, thanks guys, it's what I thought :)

isnt the 6UL +35mm? so it's like what 3mm further out...

I have some old crappy +38 15x7 rota's (for sale BTW ;D) with 205/50/15 plus a 25mm spacer making the effective offset +15 and there is no rubbing. Granted with my +35 15X8's(same spacers) I had to roll the fenders. Those are nice wheels 225/45/15's would be great on em

Ignore the Goodwin people saying its extreme. The biggest issue is tire fitment.

I'm running 0 on the street and on track. My wheel bearings of 95k haven't exploded and the car handles great. No powersteering either.

Those people who cry about it... don't bother trying it.

At the FM summer camp track day, there was a guy running those...they look great and he didn't report any issues.
