Default who is running bigger turbos? get in here.

I remember somebody on here saying that alot of people here will soon be running 2860s and bigger (i believe it was 18psi that said this) and i was going through alot of the build threads that have been popping up and have noticed bigger and bigger turbos being put on out tiny lil cars.

I for one will be running a 2860, who all is running a potato or bigger? where does this madness end? who has bigger goals?

EDIT: post specs of the turbo you are using/will be using if they are not already known

I'm running this:

This is the natural progression. Miatas are quite a bit behind the times when it comes to engine performance and power output. Lots of factors at play there, but as we find better solutions for traction and keeping drivetrains together, the turbos will get bigger and the power output will keep climbing.

I'm shooting for +- 300whp with no meth.

We're transplanting my old GT2871R-powered (.60/.64) drivetrain into it's new host. Definitely a fun turbo, it'll be nice to finally know what that setup actually delivers to the wheels.

Garrett A/R .70 with custom 3.5 exhaust, wasnt my choice but the car came this way. I like the big turbos too but this one here is for big numbers. It does lag a bit but pulls pretty hard from the 4200-5800 range. I will prolly be sourcing a a/r .50 soon from a former member that wants tp possibly trade. Im just more of a top end guy, ive already experienced teh 0-60 whiplash, speeds in my former boosted rx-7's

If fun = taking a 1.6L Miata and turning it into a turbo'd 1.8L with 6-speed and 3.6 rear, plus suspension swap and a whole bunch of other misc items, then yes, it'll be fun. I have my work cut out for me, that's for sure.
