Who says Miatas aren't useful?
Get back to me when you have removed the passenger seat and have a dressed motor in the passenger section. Not that I have done this. I have two trucks so I have no need for such shenanigans but I have seen it done.

This is what my car looks like at the moment:

It usually has one or two more pieces attached.

How to carry a mountain bike in a Miata.
Step 1: Put mountain bike in Miata.

Step 2: Drive.
Harbor Freight nylon straps FTW. These are probably the single most useful thing I have ever purchased. Perfectly stable at 75 MPH.

I once climbed into my Miata on the way home from school with 20 party ballons...top up. It was my daughter's second birthday and I wasn't going to dissappoint.
The only one that popped was the one right next to my eardrum.

Well, that's why I was wondering. It's pretty damned obvious that I have a trunk- you can see it through the gaping hole which, on most miatas, is covered by a large, heavy lid.
You might as well ask "Why don't you have a top" or "Why don't you have a large wooden crate containing 500 lbs of cast-iron ****** strapped to the hood?"
