Wife now has a Miata................Maybe
6/26 6:00pm
Cruising Craigslist, See a 1994 5sp Red Excellent Condition $2500.00. 6/26 6:05pm Sent email to seller to contact me, forgot to include phone number. 6/26 6:07pm Another email sent with phone number. 6/26 6:09pm Wife asks me why the hell am I looking for another Miata? I reply that is might be a good deal and I could make some money on the car. She tells me I am fucking crazy and I should finish soldering the damn "Megawhatever" for my car and stop spending money. She does not know about the Garrett 2560 I just bought and is hidden in the basement. I agree with her to make her happy and we have a pleasant evening. 6/27 8:15am Seller sends me an e-mail and the car is not sold. 6/27 8:16am Reply to seller that I would like her phone number so I can discuss the vehicle. She immediately responds with the number. 6/27 8:18am I Tell the wife to get ready to go shopping, and we might stop by just to look at the car. She gives me "The Look". 6/27 9:00am Arrive at the home of the Red Miata. Wife says "I think it's cute, I always liked red ones". So we test drive the car, which is in excellent condition, only 93,000 miles and well taken care of. New tires, new timing belt and garage kept most of it's life and only 2 owners. Typical fading of the front and rear bumpers. Runs great handles great. I am thinking I can make a few bucks on the car for a new downpipe and some other shit for MY car. 6/27 9:30am I "tell" the wife "we" are buying the car. She agreed without a fight. As a matter of fact she seemed happy about it. I thought "this was easy" and payed for the car and finished the paperwork. 6/27 10:00am This is when it all fell apart. As we left the PO house she started referring to the Miata as OUR car. This slowly developed into us talking about the Red Miata as HER car. I thought I was so fucking smart, but it seems I was the one who was going to lose this battle anyway. At this point I could either TELL her I was selling the car for profit, and probably not get laid for a year. Or I could at least come out of this somewhat unscathed and give in. It was then I told her how sexy she will look driving the car. Oh well, maybe she will let me drive HER car when mine is down for the turbo install. I will have to find another way to fund my turbo project. I guess you can never have too many Miatae. |
Great story, lol
Must remember your tactic..."GO GET READY TO SHOPPING (she drops guard) andwemaylookatanothermiata...slips in real quick and fast... |
