Will JB Weld work?
I'm moving my boost control feed from just after the compressor to the hard pipe in between the throttle body and intercooler. I don't have a tap for the fitting. I thought I could drill as close as possible, then possibly thread the fitting. Whether it threads or not, I was thinking maybe I could secure it with an application of JB Weld. I'm running 11psi. Do you think thus will hold, or should I go to the expense of having it welded, brazed or soldered? The fitting is brass and hard pipe is aluminum. Appreciate any thoughts.

That’ll be fine. It’s probably 1/8npt, maybe just grab the tap from a hardware store to make life easier. Spread some JB weld onto the threads, then tighten it in. Similar to what most people do for oil drains.

JB weld will get the job done. Like Curly said, many people - including me - have used it on the oil drain. Mine hasn't come undone yet after 10+ years.

I didn't know any better and just used thread sealant on my drain line. Now I have something else to be paranoid about.
