Woo-Hoo! Victoracers!

I finally got my set of used V700 Victoracers on my car. I took it for a quick drive and though I didn't want to push it around corners, I was able to use braking to judge how sticky they were - DAMN!

I had OEM 14" alloys with Rt215 Azenis and I mounted the 205x50x15s on OEM 15x6 alloys.

The 14"+RT215s weighed 32.2 lbs

The 15" + Victoracers weighed 33.6 lbs

Here's the back wheel with 14" and old Azenis.

I don't really see much of a difference in clearance.

I went from Azenis to Ra1 now to V710. Each time the difference was night and day.

chuckerants 06-03-2007 07:48 PM

BTW, the tires cost me about $275 to put on my car - tire cost, shipping, and mounting.

The cost of the new Azenis would have been a tad over $400. Depending on how long these last, I may just get Azenis next time.

I ran Victos for many years. Great tire, last a long time, very predictable.

If you think those are good, strap on some V710's. Its like a whole new world.

Any guesses as to how long these will last on the street?

Braineack 06-03-2007 08:40 PM

100 miles tops.

jayc72 06-03-2007 08:44 PM

Victoracers? No way, they'll last way longer than that. I had RA1 that was about 4/32. Ran those on the street and put a couple of 1000 miles on them and didn't seem to any worse for wear.

I bet you'd get 5000miles out of them or more.

I'd be happy with 5000 miles. That might get me into next year as I couldn't drive it during monsoon season.

You paint might take a shit kicking from all the rocks and shit R's will kick up. I need to repaint several spots on my car from running RA1's for a season on the street.

Those Victos are pretty old. When new they actually have tread. Im gonna guess about 1,000 miles.

Have fun sitting in the car watching it rain, cause those suckers are a wreck waiting to happen in the rain.

When it rains here (monsoon), I can't even get out of my subdivision. Which is why I have a beater.

I have run RA-1's on the street, when I was desperate, but personally, I wouldn't run them as a street tire. I know somebody who did, but na.... too expensive for my blood.

The v700's I had on my 13's were OK.... but.... definately will burn up quickly. And they pale in comparison to my new to me, used 710's on the autox. 710's are stupid sticky, even with them half gone....

Falkens for the street, R's for the track....
