Would bronze make me JDM?
For a mariner blue daily driver what do you guys think.
15x9 bronze 6uls 15x8 nickel 6uls Also for those of you with the 15x9's, did you just roll your fenders or did you have to pull them as well? My sportmaxxx wheels have to go. :vash: Since I've owned them I haven't enjoyed the car. Every time I step on the gas the rear end drops and I start rubbing on the rear fenders and smoke the shit out of the sidewalls. So to keep from cutting them I pretty much shift everytime I make boost....sucks Vash- |
Matte black!!
(or bronze).. wait for the 6ULR's! |

you prolly just barely have to roll fenders unless you run alot of tire. Thats a pretty high offset
|
Haha me. :bowrofl: By the time I went out for like 10 minutes both the 15x9 bronze set sold, and the 15x8 nickle set. Didn't really NEED them right now, so I guess I'll wait to get a new set in the spring. I'm playing with photoshop right now to see what looks best.

I like the idea of bronze wheels on a mariner blue, plus its different. Ive been thinking about this color scheme on my car as well. Post up the photoshops if you do some, im curious.

I'm torn between "black non-stick" and bronze 6ulr's. I may just get both, lol.

On blue, I would do nickel. On just about anything else, bronze is probably the way to go.

What about dark blue with tan top/interior?
I've thought about going for bronze, but I currently have black wheels and I like how it looks. |

No current pics, though. |
You can almost spell JDM with bronze... Maybe not, but it's super dooper JDM. 15x8 is plenty wide IMO (unless you're a track whore and for some reason needs a 9" wheel) and nickel is hott. If I had an unlimited amount of money to spend on wheels, my choices would be:
1) Pay a big company to cast a 15x8" NB replica wheel. 2) Buy a set of NB 15" wheels. 3) 6UL 15x8's in nickel hottness. |

Normally I would say bronze. But now that I have a set of the nickel 6UL's that would be my choice. Pictures dont do the nickel any justice. When i bought these from sav I had all intentions in painting them black but now theres no way I would.

Why haven't you rolled your fenders?
I have no idea how you could drive the 0 offset sportmax at all without doing that. |

I have no idea how you could drive the 0 offset sportmax at all without doing that. It really sucks and its been something that's bothered me since I put them on. Now that I have the money I want to get a nice set of wheels, good all around tires, and swap my suspension for a Tein setup. I am pretty sure I will get the nickel 6UL's. Unless Emilio makes a matte black 6UL, then I don't know for certain. I tried to photoshop a white miata with a black hardtop on 949's website and make it mariner blue with a black hardtop, but that was a no go. The whole picture turned blue every time I tried so I gave up. I'll attach the picture if anyone could hook it up and make it mariner, just to give me an better idea. :bigtu: Vash- |
That was belacyrf's car.

Is this helpful? I used the picture in your sig as a base for the blue, but when I added the shadowing back in it got a little washed out.
