Default New Advanti Racing S1 & Konig 'Dial In' 15x8 and 15x9 Wheels!

In my opinion, BEST year at SEMA for new wheels in many years!

The news includes that the market has more and more flow formed choices coming in 15x7, 15x8, 15x9 for NA/NB...and 17/18 inch choices for NC. What that means for consumers is more choices in lower cost, lower weight, and stronger product at the lower price points (low end of the price market moving to flow form production methods traditionally found only in the much more expensive Enkei product, etc). In a way that's bad news for me since we are effectively forced to inventory more product in an increasingly crowded and competitive space...but it's great news for consumers seeking more LIGHT choices on a budget.

For example, the 10 spoke Advanti Racing Storm S1 below is one of these new flow formed choices going to come in about 12 pounds for 15x8, and 13 pounds for 15x9. I think they look awesome (and apparently many agree since my in-box is overflowing with emails about trying to nail down arrival date which I just don't know yet).

And the Konig 12 spoke version 'Dial In' below will be 15x7, 15x8, and 15x9

And there are new flow formed choices from Traklite coming too, including 14 pound 17x7.5 and 15 pound 17x8 for NC (no pictures available yet).

And it is a rare year we get a new Enkei Racing Line choice, though 18 inch for now will mean it is a rare choice for NC owners we talked with Enkei about 17 inch versions.

I dig the 10 spokes, but I'm curious how they'd look on a Miata. I think it could easily come off as really ricey.

Those 12 spoke Konig's would be a great replacement for my MSM's 17's.

That's a Prototype, the production 15x9 wheel is 4x100....and NC can barely fit some 16 inch wheels.

The 15x8 is 30mm offset.
The 15x9 is 35mm offset.

Update, I am told today the final names will be

Avanti Storm S1 and
Konig "Dial In"

Any idea on pricing? I would love some 15x8's "Dial In" for my MSM.

Okay, loaded them on the site with details (offsets, price, etc). I expect some of these details to fluctuate a little as we get closer to the wheels arriving (like whatever 'name' they decide to call the color may get changed by marketing weenies). Price may also adjust slightly up or down a little, same with final weights (we will wait for actual production parts to land on our scale before we get exact numbers). Prototype pics are 5 lug but production parts are 4x100.

Let me know which style you guys like better, the 10 spoke Avanti or the 12 spoke Konig? Folks interested can also click the "notify me when in stock" button at these links below to get notice when the pre-order process starts. Note that I could tell at the show that the Konig has more brake clearance.

I really like the 12 spoke Konig. I hope to see a pic on a miata, because I really want them!

Update, Konig sent us the prototypes so we could check things like Big Brake Clearance.

The 15x8 of both the Advanti Racing Storm S1 and Konig Dial In clear our Big Brakes.

The Konig has a ton of clearance, the Advanti Racing Storm S1's concave spoke design makes it a little tighter... but it still clears our Big Brakes.

Looks good. Wish there were more 10" wide options. Heck I would love a 10.5 or 11" wheel.

Update, NOW TAKING ORDERS!

Flow Formed to be STONGER and LIGHTER!

Also news is GOLD color! Latest ETA is first week of March for all the Advanti. On the KONIG version the 15x7 and 15x8 arrive on first shipment in March and the 15x9 KONIG version won't get here until April.

Loaded them on the site with details (offsets, price, etc). Some of the prototypes shown here are 5 lug, but obviously production parts are 4x100 for Miata like you see on the GOLD color below.

Continue to let me know which style you guys like better, the 10 spoke Advanti Racing Storm or the 12 spoke Konig Dial In? I could tell at the show that the Konig has more brake clearance but now that I have held and measured the prototypes we know that both designs fit our Big Brakes Kits!

Picture of the Advanti Racing Storm S1 in Black. Yummy!

15x7 is just 11 pounds!
15x8 is just 12 pounds!
15x9 is just 13 pounds!

Got an email asking me about how confident we are on the weights. Prototypes for the Konig in five lug came in right to the ounce on these weights (that is the 15x8 Konig on the scale in my first post). The Advanti prototypes actually came in an ounce or two lighter than the Konigs, so I expect we will be VERY close to the mark on production 4x100 weights.

Yes, center caps included.

Yes, the flow formed production gives us the STRENGTH of a 550 KG load rating....and these ultra light weights!

Getting lots of requests for more pics...

The Advanti 15x8 on the scale.....15x8 just 11 pounds!

We still have this listed as 12 pounds on the site because this is a prototype and production weights often come in slightly higher. So, while this is great news....don't be shocked if production weight is a few ounces more.

Wow...wow....wow!

This is first PRODUCTION wheel on the scale (notice 4x100 now)... and this is the 15x9.
That means the weight on the prototype 15x8 of just 11 pounds a few posts up was no fluke, this is a production 15x9 flown in while the rest comes by sea container. This is the production center cap too, more subdued with just "Advanti" on it.

Amazing, a 15x9 with 550kg load rating....just 12.2 pounds!
Welcome to the new era of flow formed wheels!
