Damn I need to sell my Ruckus so I can pick a set of these up for my NA, how long is sale for?

Good-Win Racing LLC 05-10-2012 12:48 AM

They won't give us an end date for this sale, depends on response...and so far, response VERY strong. We have gone from kits in stock to back ordered two weeks from Wilwood.

It doesn't specify in the product description that the lines are included. Can you confirm that lines are included? And are they ss lines that are specific to the wilwood caliper fittings?

green_comet 05-10-2012 03:44 AM

I really want to get in on this buy but the shipping cost to Australia is huge, $559.98+$269.60 shipping via USPS global express. Do you offer any cheaper USPS shipping options?

Actually it says at the top of each product description: "SPRING SPECIAL...Includes Front Wilwood Brake Lines! "

But, second part of your question raises an issue. Wilwood's kit is using generalized parts, and that means they use a hubcentric ring to adapt the general purpose 4x100 hats to the Miata, and they use extra fittings to adapt the lines, etc. Extra fittings mean extra potential leak locations. Thus, for street customers seeking to drop nearly 5 pounds of unsprung weight per corner while adding thermal capacity the Wilwood kit is currently a steal of a deal. But for our serious track customers we still suggest our complete four wheel version 4 kits which give a thermally balanced setup with everything custom made for this application with hubcentric hats, lines made for the miata with no adapter fittings needed, far more robust T6 hats and brackets, 10 point NAS connection hardware between each rotor and hat, etc.

Yes, what we do for Australia is separate the kit into two Priority USPS Large Boxes....which gets the kit to you for $160 total ship cost, saving over $100. Usually about 10 days travel time by this method. If interested, contact us by email and we can setup a Paypal Request for Payment because the website will not offer this option.

YES, the deal got even better, Wilwood updated it late last week to just $499 for any of the variations.

Just ordered. What a fantastic deal.

Any special deal on the rear-only kit (61-0429) and decent overseas shipping costs?

Good-Win Racing LLC 05-29-2012 06:29 PM

Sorry, Version 4 kits won't be coming down on price (MUCH more expensive parts, MUCH more stout hats and rotors, etc.).

As for shipping overseas, we have been using USPS Flat Rate Mail boxes to get the heavy brake kits overseas at reasonable costs. Website can't quote this option but contact us by email with an address and we can quote it for you.

Handy Man 05-29-2012 06:29 PM

Wow. That's too good to pass up. Order placed.

Do you sell replacement rotors and pads for this kit? I'm not seeing them on your site, but you have soooo many I may just be missing them.

Good-Win Racing LLC 05-29-2012 06:36 PM

We have replacement rotors for the Version4 and Wilwood kits on the site.

So no rear-only then? If so, expect an e-mail soon :)

Good-Win Racing LLC 05-29-2012 07:10 PM

Had a few folks wanting to balance the rear to the front....while taking advantage of this special. One way to do that is we can have Wilwood build the front kit with slotted only, and you can then select our Version3 Slotted rear setup. That way you have two-piece rotors with black anodized hats and slotted rotors front and rear.

Oscar 05-29-2012 07:21 PM

I already have Wilwood 4pots up front and am looking to upgrade the rear to lighter rotors and will be using NB sport calipers on the NA 1.8 bracket (so NA rear pads) on the new rotor/bracket combo. This should my propvalve a more useable range. That's why I'm only interested in rear rotors/brackets :)

99mx5 05-30-2012 09:04 AM

Ordered.
I decided to go with this setup for the front, a Wilwood prop valve and sport brakes in the rear with the M-Tuned brackets.

Brian,
I accidentally ordered the kit with red calipers instead of black. Email sent to your website.

Are there other options for brake pads?

Good-Win Racing LLC 05-30-2012 09:19 AM

Thanks for the order. Got the email on the change to black calipers. Just BP10 pads on the special....but we certainly stock other choices like Wilwood BP20, E, H, B, C, etc., and we stock the quick change clips to make pad swap fast.

99mx5 05-30-2012 11:59 AM

Thanks Brian! I also ordered the clips. :bigtu:

How do the included pads compare to others? For example, Carbotech XP10s.
