Yeah. I asked you and everyone else I see with them if theirs squeal and they don't, goodwin says they shouldn't. Rotor or pads don't change it. I am doing something wrong. but the car stops great and only squeals under low speeds and light brake pressure so I can live with it.

I run the Q pads on the street and they dont squeal for about the first quarter of their life. The squeal is basically a high frequency rattle of the backing plate against the pistons. If you want to try to improve it, you can get some thin aluminum (.010-.020) and trace the pad backing plate onto it and cut it out and use some blue brake anti-squeal goo to glue it to the back of the pad and reinstall them. might help. Ive been meaning to try it some day.

I could not have said it better myself. Indeed most find the Qs don't make much if any noise but if that is happening then making your own backing plates and using some anti-squeal should cure it.

Good. Next time you think about leaving remember..."blood in, blood out."

Tell us about the cossie motor in that yellow heap, please.

Good-Win Racing LLC 07-09-2010 02:31 PM

That is our NC LIGHT project. Block is 2.5 liter from Mazda 3, world challenge head, with used Cosworth Barrel Throttle that came off a dead 2.3 Formula Atlantic motor. If you want to read all about it, got many pages about that project posted here.
