Hawk DTC-30 & DTC-60 Brake Pads
Good-Win Racing has been selling Hawk pads for years, but we've just recently brought the DTC-30 and DTC-60 to the catalogue for the full line of Miata/MX-5 applications as well as for our popular Wilwood fitments. These are the spec pads in the Playboy MX-5 Cup Series.
No introduction needed, tons of racers on the forums here use these with great results. I've run the DTC-60s in my time trial car for several seasons and been very pleased with their cost : performance ratio, and no special bed-in procedure necessary. DTC-60: These are high-torque track pads, and they do dust. Very high temperature ceiling, much better modulation than the old-school race pads. Anyone who uses Hawk Blues or Blacks, I tell them to to join the 21st century and switch to these. These get good at ~300 degrees F, not much friction below that so we don't recommend these for the street. DTC-30: These are the 'little brother' to the popular DTC-60. The DTC-30 offers good friction even when cold, making it suitable for street/autocross, and it offers peak friction levels higher than the Porterfield R4. Can handle up to around 1,100 degrees F - That's a good bit more than the HP+ so it can actually handle mild track use and hard autocrosses. These DO dust, just like any track pad, so not recommended for a daily driver that goes out in rain and doesn't keep their wheels clean. http://www.mazdatalkforum.com/download/file.php?id=2132 Wilwood Dynalite/Dynapro 4-piston: DTC-60 for Wilwood 4-piston DTC-30 for Wilwood 4-piston 1990-1993: DTC-30 90-93 Front DTC-30 90-93 Rear DTC-60 90-93 Front DTC-60 90-93 Rear 1994-2002 (Non-sport): DTC-30 94-02 Front DTC-30 94-02 Rear DTC-60 94-02 Front DTC-60 94-02 Rear 2006-2015: DTC-60 06-15 Front <-- Spec pad in Playboy MX-5 Cup Series DTC-60 06-15 Rear DTC-30 06-15 Rear <-- Spec pad in Playboy MX-5 Cup Series Wilwood Superlite 6-piston (NC BBK): DTC-30 for Wilwood 6-piston DTC-60 for Wilwood 6-piston |
