Any interest in a Boomslang Group Buy?

I am trying to setup an account with Boomslang for my site Gotbends.com, and I need to purchase 5 units for my initial buy in..

Would anyone be interested in purchasing something? Break would probably be like 10-15% off list and $10 shipping.

Let me know what you think. :)

magnamx-5 03-22-2007 12:59 PM

us KY guys can just do pick up at your place right ;)

nester 03-22-2007 01:09 PM

Local pickup is a-ok.

cjernigan 03-22-2007 02:14 PM

What kinds of things are you talking about. If i wanted anything it would just be ECU connectors.

nester 03-22-2007 02:52 PM

Anything in their catalog. Patch harness, emanage PNP, etc.

PaKMaN 03-24-2007 07:14 PM

Wish you had told me about this a few weeks ago. I just got my PnP EMB

cjernigan 03-26-2007 03:56 PM

Price for a male and female '99 ECU connectors.

nester 03-26-2007 04:25 PM

They are $99 RETAIL, your price, 85.

nester 03-26-2007 04:27 PM

The 90-95 ecu patch harnesses are 99
The 96-00 ecu patch harnesses are 99
The 01-05 ecu patch harnesses are 139

Take 15% off those prices.

cjernigan 03-26-2007 04:51 PM

Jesus just for the bare connectors with no harness is $85?
I just want the connectors to make my own harness. I might just want the female, what would the price for that single connector be?

nester 03-26-2007 05:36 PM

They don't sell just the connectors.. They sell a harness extension.

cjernigan 03-26-2007 06:06 PM

For future reference of you becoming a seller. Boomslang does sell the connectors. I purchased a '99 Female ECU connector from them today for $20 and $10 to ship.
I would have bought this connector through you after we talked about it earlier but he said that your 5 units to become a dealer requires that they be complete harnesses.

Do you know if this suits the MSM?

nester 03-27-2007 10:21 AM

It should. They use the same physical connectors, just that they use some of the wires for different things (IE a non-msm has VVT, the MSM has boost control, etc)

The plugs are the same, to the best of my knowledge, and they do not list a special harness for the MSM.

95Talispe 04-10-2007 11:39 AM

Nester are you still trying to organize this?

nester 04-10-2007 11:45 AM

Yes, I need like 2-3 more people

rockdoc 04-10-2007 11:49 AM

Think i may find a couple of interested parties for this one

speedf50 07-15-2007 12:35 AM

If I end up going emanage I will be very interested in this, I'll know pretty soon.

Marc D 07-17-2007 11:11 AM

im interested with the boom slang, could you email me with details? dizpnoizall4u(at) yahoo.com. thanks!

Braineack 07-17-2007 11:34 AM

aw i bought one :(

Marc D 07-20-2007 05:44 PM

no word on this?

speedf50 08-10-2007 05:54 PM

Ya, is this still an ongoing endeavor? In a few weeks I may want to get a boomslang f/ic pnp.

Braineack 08-10-2007 05:57 PM

I sourced all the parts you need to make one for $12.50 + time/equipment

speedf50 08-10-2007 06:01 PM

Huh?

Is that directed at me? Make a pnp harness you mean? Sorry if I am being stupid or something.

Flippy02 08-11-2007 01:48 AM

i'd be interested in a boomslang harness for 99-00 EMU knock and air, but i ahven't been hearing good things about it, like the harness still needs to be modified

Braineack 08-11-2007 11:04 AM

Yeah speed....

You can buy the connectors you need for the ecu....then it's as simple as wiring from one to the next and build your own boomslang....it's 1/9th the price but takes a bit of time...

speedf50 08-11-2007 01:17 PM

But wouldn't that pretty much be like wiring up the ecu like normal? Then again, I wouldn't have to cut/solder into the stock harness would I? Sorry I am a bit thick when it comes to this wiring business, the most complex things I have ever dealt with were r/c cars.

Do you have links to these parts I could get? And would I have to buy lots of wires? Or use the ones that came with the f/ic? More info on how to do this would be much appreciated.

Also this is all tentative, I have just come to the conclusion that a f/ic will kick the shit out of a voodoo box/bipes, and appears to be a much better setup for close to the same price if I can cancel the electronics on my FM kit.

Braineack 08-11-2007 01:22 PM

$109 dollars or $15 + time.......

It's still PnP, you just gotta wire a bit before hand. A $5 soldering iron, $3 spool of solder, some electrical tape, and a spool of wire...and your still at 1/8th the cost.

speedf50 08-11-2007 04:32 PM

But then what wires would I have to solder? And what adapters would there be?

Basically, how do I do this? Do you have a diagram of the connectors and wires? I don't have the f/ic yet, so that is why I am having such a hard time figuring out what wires I would need to solder/connect, and basically grasping your concept.

nester 08-11-2007 07:37 PM

I never followed through with this, because I never could get 5 people interested.

speedf50 08-12-2007 03:54 AM

So is it still a possibility? If we can get 5 people of course.

nester 08-12-2007 10:31 PM

Yes.

SamS 08-13-2007 09:17 PM

How many more people do you need for this? I may be in the market for a harness soon.

modernbeat 08-13-2007 09:19 PM

Me too if you can do this within the next two weeks.

nester 08-14-2007 11:39 AM

We we can get 3-4 people, I will purchase the remainder.

mikeflys1 08-16-2007 11:55 AM

i'd be in for a 99-00 emu harness

speedf50 08-17-2007 02:53 AM

How many is that?

+1

nester 08-17-2007 09:51 AM

K, sounds like we've gotten enough people here to do this.

I will start working on this later today. I will get pricing together, get with each of you and figure out how to make this happen quickly.

deliverator 08-19-2007 04:23 PM

I'd be in for a '94 harness.

nester 08-19-2007 11:25 PM

Ok. Here is the deal. The pricing is 13% off BoomSlang retail. All harnesses will have a $15 shipping fee.

For example, a emanage ultimate harness for a 96-97 miata is $199 retail. Take 199 and times it by .87, for a total of 173.13, add $15.00 for shipping and your total is 188.13.

If you are in, please email me at sean@fiveohtwo.com, or call me at 888-423-6377. I accept all major credit cards or paypal.

If I can get people in tomm, I will order all the stuff tomm and depending on Boomslang's overhead, we could have this stuff shipping out to you by the end of the week.

All shipping is done via UPS, tracking numbers will be available within 24 hours of reciept from BoomSlang.

Let me know.

nester 08-20-2007 05:13 PM

One person has emailed me. Need 4 more! :)

nester 08-20-2007 06:37 PM

Two people in!

nester 08-23-2007 12:39 AM

anyone else?

nester 08-23-2007 10:26 AM

Got 4 People in:

Flippy02 - 99-00 EMU PnP - Knock & Air
mikeflys1 - 99-00 EMU PnP - Knock & Air
SamS - 96 - EMB PnP - Injector and Ignition
modernbeat - 90-95 Extension Harness

I'd really like to get one more person, but if not I will fill the void and confirm my order with Boomslang tomm.

modernbeat 08-23-2007 02:28 PM

I'm in. I need a Factory Harness Extension for a 90-95 Mazda Miata. I'll call with the details. It will save me a whole $7.87 over Boomslang's price including shipping. Hopefully it gets this GB off the ground.

nester 08-23-2007 03:03 PM

Thanks for the call!

nester 08-24-2007 04:45 PM

Everything has been order, I also ordered one extra harness.. I ordered a 90-93 EManage Blue Harness with Injector and Ignition.

SamS 09-03-2007 09:22 PM

The ups email says adult age 21+ has to sign for the package. I'm only 19:sadwavey: but I'm at school and it's being sent to my house, so my parents have to sign for it anyways.

nester 09-03-2007 09:37 PM

UPS probably won't ask for ID. sorry, that's just a default setting in UPS Worldship.. ;)

Did UPS give you any trouble?

SamS 09-09-2007 05:23 PM

I'm at school 300 miles away from home, so my mom had to sign for it anyways. I don't think they asked her for ID. :gay:

nester 09-09-2007 08:39 PM

Cool. just glad it got there. :)
