+1

Mine shows no FedEx return on the given tracking info either.

superslow 07-07-2009 09:12 PM

They must have just issued them. Fedex has not picked up, just issued tags. Wait a day and it should all appear magically online.

tangyxtc 07-08-2009 07:50 PM

and magically the fedex tracking # now works. cant wait!

I saw someone ask about using these on a caged car, but I never really saw in the answers if it really helps stiffen a car that already has a cage in it. What do you think? Anyone with a cage try these?

UrbanSoot 07-09-2009 02:22 AM

it does help you stiffen even more but question is - do you really need it?

If the cage extends to the front strut towers, I can see no reason to add these. But I have not seen that on Miata cages. Emilio says they are on his track toy, and that they are worth the weight. IIRC, he said they shaved off a few seconds per lap, and gave much better steering feel. But I don't know if he is caged.

I added something similar to my STI and I could feel the difference for sure. Tighter steering and just a more solid feeling with the front end. As for my Miata, the cage does not go to the front shock towers, but the car is pretty stiff, so I am not so sure I would feel an improvement. Guess I will pass on these for now unless someone has some experience with them on a caged car.

On my ex 97 Civic I installed "Korbach frame locks" - they were small pieces that made the corner connections from the behind-the-bumper sideways chassis piece to the fore-aft chassis rails more solid, and I was astounded how much it improved the off-center steering feel (from around 10* to 45* off-center). The effect on NVH was very subtle (car had stiffish springs).

While I don't feel my miata needs improvement in turn-in feel, I am hoping the effect on NVH won't be so subtle.
