GB Economy Frame Rail Stiffeners.. 115 Shipped! 8 in, need 2 more!

Stein passed the torch onto me! Same rails, rear bolt hole moved up .5in for better fitment. Hardware included. I've received a couple of good quotes that puts them right at the same price area of 115 shipped in the lower 48 (USA). If you missed your first in on these rails, here is your chance!

Laur3ns 03-31-2009 03:03 PM

Wow, good job! I still need to get mine on...

icantthink4155 03-31-2009 04:06 PM

Im gonna watch this thread. And see if I can move some money around.

gospeed81 03-31-2009 05:09 PM

Okay, I was just about to put the BBS wheels back on and just sport them instead of sell.

Instead I emailed the 3 serious guys back.

Stiffness FTMFW!

wherestheboost 04-07-2009 04:00 PM

So... is this on or do we still need more time?

TravisR 04-07-2009 04:06 PM

We get 10 people signed on and I'll make the order for you guys. It should be about a week after that.

wherestheboost 04-07-2009 06:24 PM

I'm down to be on that list.

Vincent123 04-07-2009 07:05 PM

how does this compare to flyin miata rails? I have the FM rails on my car right now, deciding whether or not to remove them and pick yours up or just keep the FM rails on my car.

TravisR 04-07-2009 10:00 PM

These are solid, so they will be slightly heavier, but also a little more stiff.

If you are interested in something far stiffer then the FM rails, I have a design for an IM9 carbon based frame rail with a foam core. Expensive check, the best... check. Careful running into semi's with your car after the install, they might loose.

curly 04-07-2009 11:06 PM

what a pain to install, but these would be so frakking nice. I would never have to worry about jack points again, that's for sure. Sadly tires, brakes, oil cooler, and life are ahead of new frame rails.

wherestheboost 04-08-2009 12:13 AM

Vincent - sell yours to me... and then buy these :)

Vincent123 04-08-2009 03:02 AM

+1, put me down on the list for these rails. (depending on if wherestheboost buys my FM rails or not)

Travis, how much for the carbon based frame rails?

wherestheboost 04-08-2009 10:15 AM

Aye... I'm sorry guys - I was in a bind... and I folded... I bought the FM frame rails. :-/

gospeed81 04-08-2009 11:53 AM

I'll still want these unless I blow my money on something else before the order date.

I'd say around $400. The set weighs in right at half the weight of one frame rail, and are about 10X the stiffness. Composites are good.

I have 4 officially down for the GB so far.

gospeed81 04-08-2009 11:02 PM

Travis, put my name on the official list, or instruct me on how to prepay/whatever.

I can't pass this deal up again, or I'll hate myself later.

I hope you feel good about taking the food from my children's(well one child's) mouth(s). You vendors profit from what I consider a real sickness we have, an addiction if you will.

jk, looking forward to a badass stiffness mod.

TravisR 04-08-2009 11:31 PM

Jeeze, I'll go slit my wrist now. 7 In, just 3 more!

wherestheboost 04-09-2009 02:30 AM

I'm hoping the FM rails are on backorder now... so i can save ... $60

trunks2kg 04-09-2009 01:48 PM

Count me in as well. Can wait to put these on.

tangyxtc 04-09-2009 01:59 PM

I am in, let me know where to send money to.
