GB Fully Assembled Miata Dwell Reducer Boards

Coil on Plug users... This board eliminates the chance of over heating and damaging your Toyota C.O.P. units by reducing the stock dwell by 1.5ms. These will work on both the 1.8L motors and the 1.6L motors.

Cost will be at:

QTY 25 $45 a piece
QTY 20 $53.75 a piece
QTY 15 $70 a piece
QTY 10 $102.5 a piece

The problem is we must run 25 units as a minimum order so the more we can split these cost between people the cheaper it gets.

These boards are fully assembled and include 6 inch wire leads on each connection. All you have to do is wire it in. If you sign on and we don't make it to an acceptable price no hard feelings and no sticking it to you. This is the best price I can offer, I am once again making about 0 bucks on the deal.

bump for update

Cyee who is going to be soldering the boards said he may consider doing a smaller run, so if we don't get the full 25 he may still help us out...

That's cuz I'm a nice guy. :)

The more people in, the cheaper it will be for the collective whole. I'm working with Travis to see what we can work out for pricing. Details to follow!

updates!

TravisR 09-03-2008 09:01 PM

Alright guys updates!

Chris was kind enough to reqoute and the populated boards can be had for $44.23 shipped at minimum order of 10. So lets get some people into this buy and make it happen.

I'm interested in buying one , but have a question and really don't have the time to search and wade through all the not so relative info, so since you're sorta like a vendor maybe you could address how this would work with a link ecu setup. I'm 99% sure the link mimics the stock ecu as far as dwell times are concerned. I think I remember reading that the stock dwell is in the area of 5ms. Your reduction of 1.5ms leaves dwell at 3.5ms. I thought I read that dwell should be something like 2.5ms while running. Any info would help me feel better about buying it. thanks

It would work the same as someone running a stock ECU with the Coil-On-Plug setup. Any reduction is better than no reduction in terms of the additional heat generated. You're in luck! I've computed values for making this Dwell reducer 1.6L ECU (and FM Link ECU) friendly.

If you require a 2.5ms reduction, make a note of that in this group buy.

FYI, I plan on using mine on a FM Link ECU as well.

Stock dwell should be 4.0ms on the 90-93 and 3.5 on the 94-97. The system that governs the board reduces to a set of differential eqautions whose solutions are always contained within a set or series (depending on the starting problem) of exponential functions. I never recieved the original governing eqautions, so i can't be sure to their exact output. What I do know is, is that these boards given a certain input will all reduce the output by approxiametely 1.5ms and bring the dwell into spec.
