Oil Lines/ Water Lines
 

I am putting together a kit for oil and or water lines for the miata. This will include a stainless feed line, and a few options on the drain line.
The water lines will be stainless hard lines with hose to go to the thermostat nipples. I am still getting this together, but any input is would be taken. Hopefully I can get a batch of these made and be able to cut some cost for everyone. If you are interested, please let me know.

Are you going to be bending the tubing for people or just sending them the stuff to shape it themselves. I just bought two 1' pieces of 3/8" tubing and had the guy roll one end so I could bend and cut it myself for my setup. It was $5 a piece. Think that would be the best way for you to go. I'm just going to use tube nuts/sleeves that were $1 a piece to attach it to the turbo.
When I bought the stuff he was trying to sell me a 3 piece fitting that required a 37* flare which is obviously not your standard 1 or 2 way flare tool that you get anywhere. About how much do you think your kit will run out of curiousity. I think what killed me most when pieceing mine together was the $9.80 required shipping fee that the seller charged for UPS.

The tubing will be bent but i guess if there is a circumstance that they want to bend it themself, that would be fine. I can't be for sure the total cost. I'm hoping to stay competitive with some of the other general kits. It may be a bit more, but it will be using the best stuff and will be a direct fit for the miata, which I think should be worth it.

Awesome sounds like a plan. If you want I can take some detailed pictures of the miata when I get home in january for the T25 with HKS manifold for all those running that setup. My water lines will be setup so that the engine side coolant line will bend towards the front of the car and the master cylinder the other side of the turbo will have the line bent down and more towards the motor out of sight.

- SR20DET T25 on HKS manifold. 1.8 '99.

I think that the kit should be made of:

- 4an stainless feed from sandwich (maybe 40");
- 10an stainless drain to oil pan
- all the fittings
- Hardlines for the cooland
- 0,60 Restrictor
- Drill and tap bit for the oil pan

(I have already collected the sandwich, the soft coolant lines and some of the fittings to experiment with them... but I still need all the lines, restrictor..etc...)

if you can come up with a kit to plumb a t25 style turbo, water and oil, , specifically for the miata, i'll be the first in line! or attempt to be first in line :gtfo:

yeah, im in on the dsm side, id love to have a bolt on kit, better have it ready in the next month though, i plan to have my turbo in by then.

For future knowledge for parts the SR20 T25 oil feed is 7/16" inv flare.

Well, originally I was going to model this for T3 setups, but if you want T25 setups, that is what we will do. I might need a smidge of help from some of you for the thread sizes to get it to all work properly. I hadn't really planned on including the drill and tap, but if that is something that you want, I guess I could add it to the list as an option.
So, at this point we have
Jhoexp- (T25) wants oil and water with the bit and tap
Flippy02- (T25) wants oil and water
adbradley- (?) wants oil and water
I will be starting to put these together come monday and will keep you all informed on how its going.

From what I have read, the T25/T28 use a 1/4" inverted flare for the oil feed, and require a flange for the oil drain. What size are your water ports on the turbo? I have seen several things that lead me to believe they are metric, but I can't be sure as I always have dealt with T3 turbos. Let me know.

The sr20det T25g is different from other t25...

You should copy the kit at turbo-supply.com, but with the t25 drain flange and stainless steel drain lines...

Please be patient with me, as there are so many variations between different turbos that it is beginning to get a bit hectic. I should have more information tomorrow when i call my supplier. Keep updating if you know any thread sizes for oil feed and or the water ports.

yeah, 14b, 16g they use the 12 mm banjo bolts on the water, and the shitty part is the oil feed inlet is differant on the 2 i believe, and the 13g is differant as well.. i will have to get back to ya on that

Hi,
I would be interested in a kit for GT28R turbo on 1.8 Miata engine for both oil and water. Braided stainless would be my preference. I would prefer an-3 oil inlet and -10 drain. Also I assume restrictor is needed with this turbo.

Waterlines would be nice if there was metal extension to take the braided hoses further away from the turbo.
Let me know if you need dimensions or other info.

My T25 has 1/4" NPT fittings for the H2O lines (Garrett), But the PO may have re-tapped them?

Ok, thats not a problem. Be sure to remind me when you order so I get the correct fittings for that.

My feed/drain thing story is unbelievable:

I tried with turbo-supply (darkeclipse or something like that)... He said that has ordered the t25 drain flange, a week later said that the kit I want is ready, I said OK!! Yeah, I want to pay, please ship it ASAP....and than, 4 mails later... no reply! :confused: :vash:

Than I tried TunerToys: they only ship a 37" feed line (I really don't know if it's long enought for my t25 sourced from sandwich) and don't know how long is the drain... and use FedEX or UPS only!( = 100$ for the shipping!!!:vash: )
I dont want to spend 250$ for a feed and a drain line!!:vash:

I tried stealthperformance...took a week to send a mail saying that they can built it for me. (I already told tham ALL the thing they need to know, so I am ready to pay, please do it fast....) ...and then: nothing!! no reply. :vash:

I can't source it here in italy! They don't know even what a 4an line is, and none seems to know that there are other thread than metrics!!!:vash:
