Steel and Stainless Steel Tubing (Bends)
I can get Mild and or Stainless steel at pretty close to wholesale. If anyone needs any for DIY projects, just let me know. I can get anything from 1.5"-3.0" in straight and mandrel bent pieces. I can even get some bend sequences if desired.
Let me know if you are interested. -Michael- |
How much would 2" 90* bends be (with legs)?
|
$15+ shipping for mild steel. Stainless would be $21+ shipping.
-Michael- |
What radius are they?
|
2.0" is a 3" radius
2.5" is a 3.75" radius 3.0" is a 4" radius or optional 6" radius Like I said before, they can bend up just about anything you want. If you have any specific bend configurations or radius sizes let me know and I will see what I can do. -Michael- |
aluminized available?
|
Yes, aluminized is available, and is the same price as mild.
-Michael- |
whats the tightest radius you can get?
|
2.0" on a 3" radius
2.5" on a 3.75" radius 3.0" on a 4" radius -Michael- |
wow thats awesome, I hope this is around for a while. Usually all I can find are 2*Center diameter
|
It will be available from now on. Let me know if I can be of any assistance.
-Michael- |
what is the price on the 3"
90's 45's 180's mild, stainless, alum |
3" Mild on a 4" Radius
45- $16 90- $16 180- $18 3" Stainless on 4" Radius 45-$26 90-$28 180- $31 Both are available in a 6" Radius for a couple $$ more. -Michael- |
Any chance in hell you have an aluminized 2" to 3" transition? Preferably around 6-8" long rather than a stubby one.
|
I can do it in two pieces for sure. I might be able to do it in one piece, I'm not sure that you can stretch out 2" all the way to 3". They are the shorter transitions rather than the long ones. It is still a fairly low divergent angle though. If you do it in two pieces, it would end up to be maybe 4" inches or so long.
Hope that helps -Michael- |
I'm not very good at welding but i can do it. I am looking for a mild steel 2.5" to 3.00" adapter that both pieces can slip into on each end. That gives me a little more room for error.
|
I might be able to do that for you, it isn't something asked for very often. If you are interested, I can ask what it would cost. If I can get it done, it should be in the $15-$20 range.
-Michael- |
Ok let me see what i get to next week and i will see if and when i will need it
|
not to bust open thebandit's offer, but you can get 2.5-3 transitions two-fer at JC Whitney or Summit or somewhere. not too bad.
|
Generally the ones found on Summit and the like are just pipes that are swelled up, the ones that I use have an angled transition, which generally is more flow friendly. If flow is not a concern, then the summit brand will do just fine.
-Michael- |
The radius for 2" pipe is measured to centerline of the pipe, not inside wall?
What is wall thickness before bending? I would need one 90 degree one and 45 degree one. LMK hrk |
All tubing bend radius is measured from centerline to centerline. Wall thickness is .065". Let me know whether you want stainless or mild and I will get you a price.
Thanks -Michael- |

I got in several pieces of Mild in 2", 2.5" and 3", but most of the 3" will be gone before too long I think. Let me know if anyone needs anything.
-Michael- |
I received mine, they appear to be good product, thanks Michael!

Heikki, Glad to hear they got there without any issue. Thanks again for the order!
-Michael- |
i don't understand what radius means,
(i know half diameter) is this the bends or something? a pic would really help me, i've been looking too hard on ebay lately... thanks |
See if this helps you understand. All tubing radius goes by the center line or centerline radius.http://www.bifabuk.co.uk/images/CLR_Drawing.jpg

Two questions - any chance you could give a basic price rundown of 45, 90, 135, and 180* bends for each diameter for mild and stainless? Kind of alot of stuff, but then people could just browse down the list and know each price - your prices for the 3" diameter 4" radius tubing does fluctuate a tiny bit so this may be helpful.
Also, could you possibly weight any 3 identical peices one of mild, one of stainless, and one of aluminized? I don't really know about others on this but I'm keeping things as light as possible. Or is the weight too near identical to matter? -Ryan |
Do you still have these for sale?
|
ohh only 8 months late. thanks for playing though.
