Never mind I see.

So are you still doing assembled pieces or what?

Renown Performance 01-18-2012 05:04 PM

So are you including a turbo flange for the above mentioned sub $200 price? Really hope you do, then all we're required to do is weld and cut.

Renown Performance 01-18-2012 05:43 PM

yes sir, the $200 will get you the head 3d had flange, sch 10 pipe, your choice of T2 or T3 turbo flange. The 38mm/44mm wastegate Flange will be extra.
All pipes will come polished like shown.

Renown Performance 01-18-2012 10:52 PM

Anyone else interested?

DontPassTheFence 01-19-2012 11:26 AM

Boners.

Renown Performance 01-19-2012 04:59 PM

Boners... Awesome!

Renown Performance 01-23-2012 02:58 PM

Parts for kits should be in this week. Also thought about welding up the entire manifold and just leave the flange off and you guys can take care of placement. Of course this will cause the price to increase a tad.
Thoughts?

curly 01-23-2012 11:48 PM

How much of an increase? Because just having to locate, cut, and then bringing it to a welder to weld the flange is a lot easier than having a welder do everything, and having to come back after you've figured out the placement.

Subscribing to see what becomes of this. An inexpensive manifold kit? Or partially completed kit? I think you guys are really on to something hot. Ready for pics of assembled design for the 1.8!

18psi 01-24-2012 10:47 AM

just making sure: these diy kits will be in mild steel not stainless correct?

Renown Performance 01-24-2012 08:43 PM

The flanges are cnc mild steel.
As of right now prices are looking to be in the $270-$280 price range give or take.

This includes:
-CNC 3D head flange. (Tapers to a circle, and machined cutbacks on gasket side.)
-T2 or T3 turbo flange.
-Tig Welded polished stainless steel sch .10 log manifold. (ALL manifolds are back purged.)

The DIY kits will still be available for purchase.

Renown Performance 01-24-2012 10:31 PM

Really excited about this, hoping to have 3 ready next week.

curly 01-24-2012 10:50 PM

Sad, just read back a few pages. When's the 1.6 ready?

Renown Performance 01-24-2012 11:44 PM

What's sad?

viperormiata 01-24-2012 11:56 PM

Will you be able to offer any other piping besides sch.10 stainless?

curly 01-25-2012 01:04 AM

It's sad cause I have a 1.6, and these are for a 1.8. Hence the question about the 1.6 availability.

Renown Performance 01-25-2012 01:26 AM

Curly let me see what I can do for a run. It would be nice to have a few 1.6 guys forsure interested.

What other matetial would you like to see or special order?

Its the truth though. I was a cheap bastard for a long time, now I am happy to pay extreme for an extreme quality of craftsmanship. I'm honored to have such great parts on my car. I'll always be the first to say "its the car, not the driver". I'm very fortunate enough to have saved my pennies and had the opportunity to procure what I have. I especially grateful now that I don't have any money left, with such a reliable car.
