Engine on/off control issue

I moved from firmware 2.42 with ESP to 2.45.2 to prepare for NSP migration. This change in firmware creates an engine limiting function linked to the engine on/off control.

If I turn the control off then the car starts fine. If I leave it on then there is no fuel or ignition. Settings in the map are exact same before and after the change. I wondered if anyone else encoutered this and what settings are working for engine on/off control?

This is an Elite 1500 with PNP harness in a VVT. Now updated to NSP and latest firmware.

Many thanks for your help.

Do you have a specific need for the engine on/off control? If not, turn it back off.

It's been reported that some configurations would experience this function enabling itself during the 2.43 upgrade. If you're were not using it before, just turn it back off.

Chances are, if you weren't using it, the correct connections are not made to allow it to operate (Requires ECR and Ignition switch wiring)

Sometimes jumping over multiple firmware updates can cause errors within the map file. In the future, always be sure to upgrade one firmware at a time. This will of course be so much easier to stay on top of once you are in the NSP eco-system.

Cheers!

Thanks Chris - I was racking my brain on this one as sure it was enabled on my original base map and the PNP adapter includes the ignition in. I don't think it includes the ECR though. Totally confusing as it does work with a flip back in FW with On/Off enabled.

Its now turned off in setup. Managed the NSP update with little fuss once this was sorted. NSP is lovely once you get your head around the tree and spent a while getting my tuning pages dialled. Speed of connection and general navigation is insane and much kudos to the team behind that.

I need to get my head around map filenames and logging filenames as I don't appear to be able to save/export them as anything I want like I could before on ESP - it now has to be a set Haltech format? I used to extend the filenames with a description of the map/key changes made etc. for my own reference.

Thanks for your help.
