Default Adapter harness

PSA for Hydra owners : Are you experiencing odd behaviour from your car ? Constant long term trimming in one direction , then the other . TPS that won't stay calibrated , injectors deciding they don't want to fire today.
In my case all these symptoms and others have been traced back to the adapter harness between the Hydra and the factory wiring connectors. To put it delicately , I think it is a piece of dung ! Finally got mad enough to spend an afternoon under the dash , cut the factory ends off the car's wiring harness , crimped on a whack of Hydra pins and ran every last wire into the Hydra connectors directly. The car is now running better than it ever has , I should have done this years ago . If you're having odd issues , I highly recommend getting yourself a bunch of Hydra pins , a proper crimping tool and having at it . The only down side I can see is , you can't easily go back to the stock ecu . Not ever going to be an issue for me . Fredb

Fredb is also a super nice guy and when I destroyed my harness he helped me identify my damage. I ended up waiting and getting a harness built by Element Tuning who bought Hydra. The new harness was LIGHTYEARS better than my existing one. So if your patch harness looks like crap, may be worth it to have a replacement.
