attn cheap hydra owners that use megalogview
Yeah I know I have a small audience. But I know there's at least a few hydra people here. And I know most of you dont want to bother paying for software to view your datalogs and excel SUCKS ***** for it so..
you can use MLV and view csv files or whatever. But the problem is that the hydra doesnt output "MAP (kpa)" so you have to make do with boost/vac.
So I made a calculated field. Because I want MAP.
Just whip out your calc'd fields doodad and create a new custom field and name it "MAP" and put this in the formula section:
and voila. MAP in kPa.
it says if vac is present (greater than zero), make it positive and convert it to kpa. otherwise (if vac is not present, ie you're in boost), add atmospheric pressure and convert it to kPa. simple.
k bai.

I use the log viewer software here which is good:
http://www.powertraincontrolsolution...atalogging.php
Download the software, install it and then install a csv to tab delimited program like csved (open as csv, save as tab delimited). Bam, a nice graphical log viewer with pro results. I just wish the hydra dumped data like knock values, timing, etc over the AiM rs232 comm system so I didn't have to have a laptop in the car to log. Or to have some onboard logging capability on the Hydra even if limited.
Screenshot might look at little small as it was captured on 2560x1600 - 30in monitor.
