Does Motec or AEM make a PNP ems for the 03 miata?

As for the megasquirt, not going to happen.

i didn't vote but I think given the lame choices (no aem for the 03): hydra.

Given that you are familiar with emanage anyway the Ultimate will be the easiest transition, for you. It should also get you to the point where Bigpawr quakes in fear despite his 800 CC and 2 cylinder motor advantage. And you wont have to be humbled by NA TC's anymore :gay:

If money is no issue, go for the stand alone.

nester 04-20-2007 04:22 PM

Hydra purchased.

Neither... LOL. But that's just me... actually the Hydra seems fairly competent, but I personally will keep my TEC-III or if I was feeling adventurous a Haltech.

Why?

I suspect it's because he doesn't want the limitations of a "consumer product" like the hydra. the Tec3 and Haltech let you do all the dirty work yourself but they don't have any interest in customer support for your specific application. Mark clearly thinks he's smart enough for that on his own ;)

in short: they dont lock you out.

nester 04-22-2007 05:38 PM

i didn't want to have to hack and splice anything..

magnamx-5 04-22-2007 07:41 PM

dude if you get nos i wanna check this out i have been on the fence about it for a while. i was just giving you a hard time about the hydra you big money high rollers gotta have the polished ecu to go with it i understand. Now the dango hunting can begin wholesale.

nester 04-22-2007 08:52 PM

pretty sure i'm going to need to install the clutch before i add the squeeze.

For the record, I do like the Hydra. I just know of a few things that the Haltech and the TEC-IIIR have the capability of doing that is either not possible or more difficult with the Hydra. Also the Haltech has some features not found on the TEC-IIIR and Vice-Versa... If you could have the best of all 3 you'd probably have a pretty awesome ECU.

PS - I'm not that smart, I'm going into the Navy remember. LMAO.

I didn't say you were smart ;)

Nah I liked the Tec3 when I had it in my car. I just wanted something that was a little more user-friendly and the hydra has some benefits but also some drawbacks. I suspect the AEM EMS is a prime candidate but it's almost too much work to deal with it at the moment. they're all good for some things and a compromise for others.

nester 04-23-2007 11:13 AM

i wanna go fast
