Improving off throttle behavior at low rpm

I have been going back and forth between my turbo 90 (99 engine) and my unmodified 2004 on my drive to work. I have to drive in a tight parking garage with poor sightlines, aka about 10mph. When I get off the throttle in the 2004, easy peasy, car coasts. In the turbo, it's like an engine brake, presumably due to the back pressure from the turbo. Stop and go traffic is a bit of a chore for the same reason. I think what I need to do is slow the throttle response when I get off the gas. I can't calibrate my foot to do the job. (insert insults here). Is there a "best way" to get the car to mimic stock in this regard with the Hydra?

Nope that's not how it works.

I don't have a hydra but there is likely a setting that is cutting fuel completely when you let off the throttle. That can create an abrupt change in deceleration.

Hydra is a lot smaller community with limited support. Maybe try checking in with the Flyin Miata people who sell them.

My car does the same thing. The Hydra does cut fuel when you let off the throttle. If you have a laptop plugged in you'll see AFR jumps to 21 as soon as throttle % shows 0. There may be something to be done with fuel trimming but FM will be able to guide you in the right direction.

Overrun fuel cut is the name in MS dunno about Hydra. you should be able to disable it at low RPM or add a longer time delay before fuel cut both of which should help.

Decel Fuel cut in Hydra. Mine is set to 2000rpm. If I turn it off the car doesnt lurch at low rpm but it also feels really odd without it.
