$1500 1.8L Engine, FM2, Link, etc ???

I'm sure all the stuff in the bay is salvageable. You can see in the pic that the car was sideswiped by something. The firewall is is bent. As long as you bought it for parts its a great buy.

Waiting on pictures but the guy told me the IC is gone and that alum radiator is busted. He owns a salvage yard and bought it at an auction in ATL (you can see an r-speed sticker on it). Now I just gotta figure out what to do with it. I'll probably pull my 1.6 T25 and swap this in ($200 1.6>1.8 kit from FM). I'd rather stick it in my blue Miata and end up with a 100HP upgrade but this should work too.

Get him to include the engine mount brackets and you can get by with just the TB adapter. no need to buy the whole kit.

I haven't looked yet but I bet the guy tried to sell it out from under me. I haven't heard from him for a few days but the last time I talked to him I was bitching about the missing parts (false advertising in auction).

I was watching your previous auction for this engine, but it looks like someone won the auction. Did the deal fall through or something? Do you have compression numbers of the engine? yea, that is what it is looking like. The guy bought it now, said he was going to pay at a certain time, then failed to fall through with the deal after I indicated that I need the cash asap for some personal financial concerns on my end. I don't have a compression number, but like I said in the auction, i will guarantee this engine for up to 60days to run correctly, (minus the aftermarket parts). I have a car shop here in Hattiesburg, and do not plan on skipping town anytime soon. Thanks for your interest! |

Well, that's quite nice if you know him. I have no problem selling this engine to whoever send me the cash first. He said he would send paypal, but I have yet to see anything, and I have indicated that I have to sell this engine/car ASAP because of financial concerns on my end. When someone says they will send the money at a certain time, I kinda try to hold them to their word and if your friend wants the engine, then he will honor the original auction, and I will cancel this one. The guy is being very secretive (IMHO) with what is on the car, etc. The ad says it is an FM kit but parts are missing (IC, etc). He has told me a bunch of stuff and has never come through on any of it.

I paid the guy yesterday and he still hasn't ended the other auction. I should bid $10,000,000 on it right now to kill it!
