Default Anyone else on the same boat as me?

So as the title states...well, here's where I stand. My new MS is running the car exactly how I wanted it to run, therefore I finally found what I was looking for in an ECU. My car is fast enough for my liking, as it's a daily driver. I could always upgrade to a GT2871, but then I'd need a bigger I/C and a bigger ehaust. I'd pretty much be changing my whole entire setup, and for what? My car gets about 28mpg daily driven to and from work, and when the time comes where something respectful pulls up next to me, I either win, or at least put up a good race. In other words, my car is pretty much finished in my mind. My friend at work has a '00 honda civic V-tec 1.6 liter with a GT28 turbo and I can't remember what ECU. It puts down 320 to the wheels at 10psi. He has the same issue as me, drives it daily and is kinda stuck with it. His car looks stock as there is no body kit or huge wing so that's cool, but it has no PS or AC. My car also has no AC, and I have no more softtop, hardtop only. So both of us are on the same boat as, if we went to sell our cars, who would want them? At the same time, we both agree that we can't drive cars that we can't constantly wrench on, but we love our cars. So wtf? Who else feels this way?

start building junkyard **** boxes!

I constantly have to work on somthing "take it apart and put it back together"

after i got my 96 i kept looking for stuff to do on it, thats just the way i am. so my plan is after i get my car back up n running and it is to my likings, i am gonna start scavenging junkyards and begin building stupid ****. doing this will take care of my wrenching withdraws and keep my car from going under the knife when i get bored!

Why do you need to change it? I'm not planning on changing mine any time soon or ever. It does what I want.

i don't really want another project car, but I feel a calling to modernize a Datsun 510 with a turbo 1.8 miata motor for some reason.

I converted mine back to a more street happy setup and I've been very happy.

I love my car, I guess what I was trying to say is, should I invest in another project that I don't have time and room for? I'm thinkin I'll buy a pre 1970 Volvo P1800 and use that LS engine that I have, but stuff it in the volvo. Or maybe I'll get my 1950 ****** running, and then actually go through with converting it to Multiport EFI with MS. As far as the miata, I'm glad that there are other members who are happy with the way their cars are, as am I. I did what I did to my car, and I achieved my goals, and am happy. It's just, "now what?"
