0-60 times for a turbo miata

For a 190 hp miata, what are the 0-60 times?
What about a 220 hp miata?
A 270 hp miata?

a 23874982734982374 x 10^82 hp miata

savior 03-15-2007 03:50 PM

btw I chose these numbers because if I get a miata, those would be the pwoer benchmarks I would be looking into

btw first person to respond gets a free cookie and SamNavy's house address

anywhere from 14.5 to 13.5 or so. really depends on the driver and 60' times.

Wow, so my naturally aspirated NA will outrun a turbo?

if you can shave off two seconds, then yes.

I would guess mid 5's at 270 whp.

Braineack 03-15-2007 04:43 PM

mid 5's? you mean 12-13s?

I'm guessing that when the original poster asked for 0-60 times he was referring to 0-60MPH, which is a much more commonly understood figure than 0-60' amongst the proletariat. So apart from involving a gross mis-use of the apostrophe (my one and only grammar pet-peeve) the answer "Mid 5's" is probably a good one.

I did not realize that the apostrophe was incorrectly used. I stand corrected.

Hehehe. Sorry, I was actually trying to be ironic. We have lots of spelling and grammar nazis around here, but so far no punctuation police. Just givin' you a hard time, man. :bigtu:

Quarter mile times are a better measurement with a turbo miata, unless its got slicks. What about an AWD conversion from a GTX? Someone try it, can't be that hard you wimps.

Thats like converting a neon to a SRT-4...just buy a damn GTX.

I think they guy is talking 0-60 MPH hommies.

turbored 03-15-2007 08:51 PM

also depends on your final.

Braineack 03-15-2007 09:11 PM

hahaha, im dumb

SloS13 03-15-2007 09:56 PM

it's going to be hard to say because very few people measure their 0-60 time. To get an accurate measurement you'd need a good GPS receiver for one.

hustler 03-16-2007 12:31 AM

its funny that a 250whp miata probably runs a mid to low 5-second 0-60, and will shit all over pretty much anything at the road course on similar rubber.

turbopezz 03-16-2007 12:38 AM

i think they have faster 0-60 times than quarter mile times.
compared to other cars.

bripab007 03-16-2007 09:10 AM

A 270rwhp Miata is going to be way, WAY fast if you can hook up the power. If you've got sticky enough rubber and tall enough gearing, you're talking 0-60 in 4.5 seconds and under 13 seconds for the 1/4 at over 110mph.
