If you have an intercooler mounted on your naturally aspirated engine I will drive out to where you are next time I visit my sister, take you to dinner, and then proceed to point and laugh at you everytime you say something. Anything.

so tell me what you would do genius if you had a turbo grenade and needed to get your car home after removing the turbo and didnt want to remove the charge pipe from IC to TB because
1. it's a real PITA since they are routed through where the headlight would sit if it actually lowered still and
2. your IAT sensor is mounted on said charge pipe for the Megasquirt you already have, not the one coming soon...

and is this coming from a guy who doesn't even have an intercooler on his turbo'd miata?

nice stripes though

^^ OOLD schoool zinger!

and on that note, i thought the same thing about an intercooled na, untill a friend asked me to intercool his naturally aspirated H22 accord, i thought it was silly too, but it dyno'ed an additional 3 HP, not much, but it didnt hurt
so why not?
HP is HP, no matter where it comes from.

hahahha

Actually I had to do the same thing when my GReddy Mitsu. turbo ate itself, except I also kept the turbo manifold and downpipe on, made a quickie turbine bypass with some old flanges and pipe.

What's really scary is that I've seen the "I sandblasted my motor from the inside" thread before - on another forum, with a different engine getting fed the sand!
