550's!

you guys think i can idle 550's on a emanage blue?

Poll now, video tonight.

My guess is that it will idle, but not well. Put a drip pan under your tailpipe and I bet you could reuse the gas in your lawn mower.

RusMan 04-18-2007 04:08 PM

I think you can do it, never tried though

Ben 04-18-2007 04:11 PM

Define "idle".
I could "idle" 550s off my stock 1.6 ECU.

Doesn't mean the car drove worth a shit.

RusMan 04-18-2007 04:27 PM

Haha, you got a v8 under the hood!

1 cyl. FTW

Nester, i think it will idle, but im sure the EMB can't pull enough to make it worthwhile, that a 200% larger injector.

nester 04-18-2007 04:57 PM

we will find out.

Braineack 04-18-2007 05:00 PM

:p

Al Hounos 04-18-2007 05:05 PM

it'll "work", but it will suck.

mazda/nissan 04-18-2007 06:01 PM

ben i like the high-tech securing devices holding down your carbon fibber plate, its what holds my car together

Jefe 04-18-2007 07:20 PM

Maybe using the injector corection and the MAF map?

I wish you luck, I have some DSM 450's I want to try myself when it finally stops snowing... (yes, I have the bias resistors)

y8s 04-18-2007 08:01 PM

put a spring clamp on your fuel line then try it.

magnamx-5 04-18-2007 08:15 PM

if i can get 460's to run right out off boost you should be ok, boost tunning is gonna suck though.

nester 04-18-2007 11:06 PM

Boost tuning is easy... just turn up the boost until your air fuels are where you want them. ;) Lather rinse repeat.

nester 04-18-2007 11:07 PM

PS: I didn't get around to installing the injectors.. went to the track instead.... 8.70 @ 82mph.

I tried that but even at the desired boost midrange controll sucks. 17 psi at WOT was interesting though.
