Default The absolute worst part of the Miata...

...is that nasty black goop they use to seal the plastic sheet inside the doors. I HATE that stuff. There has got to be a better way to weather-seal the doors without resorting to the perpetually-gooey stick-to-everything ooze.*

*It wasn't slime, it was ooze.

Ah yes, I think that's the worst part, too.

I stock up on that stuff....... Put a touch on your socket to hold the bolt in.

...and this entire time I thought it was the lack of access to the starter bolts.

Really though, that goop does suck. It sticks to everything.

That's great. I just re-greased my window rails about 2 weeks ago too. I'd been putting it off for months. Thankfully, I didn't ruin any clothing this time.

WD-40 is good for taking that **** off. I just pulled the door panel on my Geo Metro and it didn't have black goop. The plastic sheet was glued on (really tough **** to rip off too). I ended up just using a razor blade and cutting the sheet instead of trying to rip it off the door.

Wait a second...hold on a minute. I MIGHT have just had a moment of brilliance.

Has ANYONE TRIED THE BLACK GOOP TO PREVENT DP BOLTS FROM BACKING OUT? Anyone?!

OMG, call me a mothereffin' geenyus!

I think the worst part of the Miata is the v-band clamps, the o-rings and the hard pipes for the heater core. That **** is by far the worst **** I've dealt with.

I actually disassembled a door for my NB yesterday and got that **** all over my arms. What a pain in the *** to get off. Also, whoever decided to assemble the internals of the doors should be ******* shot.
