Teachers, at least in my area, do make plenty to "live on".

I feel there is a very fine line with teacher's pay.

Too much money, and you get people who are in it just for the money and hours.

How about to promote better education, don't tenure teachers, and disband the teacher's unions?

Look, maybe us Mormons do believe in crazy stories that make absolutely no sense, and maybe Joseph Smith did make it all up, but I have a great life. and a great family, and I have the Book of Mormon to thank for that. The truth is, I don't care if Joseph Smith made it all up, because what the church teaches now is loving your family, being nice and helping people. And even though people in this town might think that's stupid, I still choose to believe in it. All I ever did was try to be your friend, Hustler, but you're so high and mighty you couldn't look past my religion and just be my friend back. You've got a lot of growing up to do, buddy. Suck my balls.

Don't assume I have a kneejerk "hate" reaction for religious people, I simply think you are wrong. I believe deep-down in my heart that my car is superior to yours because its green, and I don't car to put a red Miata in my garage...because I've had a series of events in my life which shaped my believe on green as a superior color to red, much like I've had a series of life events which shaped my religious disenchantment.

Relax, I'm no Gestapo. If I didn't support your desire to worship and live as you please, how could I support my own?

You don't need a church to teach you those things.

You see, Nate, there is a reason for people feeling sad and depressed....An alien reason. It all began 75 million years ago. Back then there was a galactic federation of planets which was ruled over by the evil Lord Xenu.

Xenu thought his galaxy was overpopulated, and so he rounded up countless aliens from all different planets, and then had those aliens frozen. The frozen alien bodies were loaded onto Xenu's galactic cruisers, which looked like DC-8s, except with rocket engines. The cruisers then took the frozen alien bodies to our planet, to Earth, and dumped them into the volcanoes of Hawaii. The aliens were no longer frozen, they were dead. The souls of those aliens, however, lived on, and all floated up towards the sky. But the evil Lord Xenu had prepared for this.

Xenu didn't want their souls to return! And so he built giant soul-catchers in the sky! The souls were taken to a huge soul brain-washing facility, which Xenu had ALSO built on Earth. There the souls were forced to watch days of brainwashing material which tricked them into believing a false reality. Xenu then released the alien souls, which roamed the earth aimlessly in a fog of confusion. At the dawn of man, the souls finally found bodies which they can grab onto. They attached themselves to all mankind, which still to this day causes all our fears, our confusions, and our problems.

All that's dead are your stupid laws and rules! You've forgotten what being a Catholic is all about. This...bible. You see, these are just stories. Stories that are meant to help people in the right direction. Love your neighbor. Be a good person. That's it! And when you start turning the stories into literal translations of hierarchies and power, well... Well, you end up with [with things like the Queen Spider, then the Gelgameks] People are losing faith because they don't see how what you've turned the religion into applies to them! They've lost touch with any idea of any kind of religion, and when they have no mythology to try and live their lives by, well, they just start spewing a bunch of crap out of their mouths!

in this country, do i not have freedom of religion?

i am sick of how hateful, un-excepting, and judgmental christian religions have become. (from personal experience)
Of course that may just be out society as a whole.

With my freedom to choose my religion, i will not choose christianity any time soon. so stop giving people, who do not choose your religion, crap for being different.

George Washington as God, fuck you.

I wonder when they'll paint over this in the Capital.

Anyways, America was founded by the Freemasons with theistic values/beliefs. So whatever, Chistians can go hang out with the Knights Templar.

In the central group of the fresco, Brumidi depicted George Washington rising to the heavens in glory, flanked by female figures representing Liberty and Victory/Fame. A rainbow arches at his feet, and thirteen maidens symbolizing the original states flank the three central figures. (The word "apotheosis" in the title means literally the raising of a person to the rank of a god, or the glorification of a person as an ideal; George Washington was honored as a national icon in the nineteenth century.)
Six groups of figures line the perimeter of the canopy; the following list begins below the central group and proceeds clockwise:

War , with Armed Freedom and the eagle defeating Tyranny and Kingly Power
Science , with Minerva teaching Benjamin Franklin, Robert Fulton, and Samuel F.B. Morse
Marine , with Neptune holding his trident and Venus holding the transatlantic cable, which was being laid at the time the fresco was painted
Commerce , with Mercury handing a bag of money to Robert Morris, financier of the American Revolution
Mechanics , with Vulcan at the anvil and forge, producing a cannon and a steam engine;
Agriculture , with Ceres seated on the McCormick Reaper, accompanied by America in a red liberty cap and Flora picking flowers.

Are you asserting that regardless of what the Constitution's secular assurances, the Freemason/Christian father's of this nation desired a religious state?

I think Brain reads Dan Brown books and loves South Park as much as I do.
